Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The location was very good, walking distance to most tourist spots (10~20 min) and very close from the exit of the tram/metro station so that easily accessible from/to Gare du Midi (just 4 stations by tram). The breakfast was also very good, with a space of terrace.

TurkeyThe internet wasn't good in the room that I was in. I'm not sure if it was the case for every room but I was on the second floor and I had to go out to corridor to get a decent internet connection.
Everyone was nice, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a coffee machine in the room so it was quite convenient. The location of the hotel is great and it's central.

South AfricaThe property itself is great, but the noise from the square outside on the Saturday night was terrible, and it went on very late.
The hotel is lovely and the staff were very helpful. The location is good, 5 minute walk to the centre of town with a metro station just outside. The room was light and modern and has good amenities. The breakfast on the top floor is amazing. Do try the omelettes!

SingaporeThe complimentary bottle of water in our room was not topped up daily. We got a bottle of water only 3 days out of our 7 night stay. The aircon in our room is not strong and we had to open the room balcony window to keep cool. Our room is clean and modern but the lobby looked tacky and does not match up with the interior of the room. The red upholstered seats and carpet in the lobby should be replaced with modern furnishings. There was a good spread of breakfast items but it was the same everyday. The fresh orange juice and croissants were superb. However, some items were not replenished daily eg. selection of tea bags and bottled mayonnaise (none left on the last day of our stay, it seems out of stock). The location was superb for shopping and sightseeing. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

United Arab EmiratesHad a bad first impression. I wanted to avoid the “early check in dilemma” so I booked an extra nigh to arrive easily the next morning. As soon as I entered, the receptionist had a strong reaction for me booking an extra night! And said I should’ve “notified them” because now my booking is “lost”. Obviously no such thing happened, the drama was unnecessary. Also, they almost NEVER picked up the phone, neither room service, laundry, house keeping nor reception (reception answered twice in a 5-night stay). For room service, I had to order through a website but options were limited and couldn’t ask if they have additional items because they never answered the phone. While I highly recommend staying here for a short visit, if you’re looking for a luxurious stay or want to stay in most of the time, my recommendation is to search for other options.
If you are looking to stay for few days in a location close to most attractions, then this is the right option for you. There’s a supermarket nearby, a lot of cafes and restaurants (especially halal ones), many loved shops and shopping destinations. It is also 5-20 minutes away from most Brussels museums and attractions! Most of the staff are friendly and ready to help. They also have good room service options, good breakfast with great timings, and fast laundry services. For a short stay to experience the city, this is one of the best options.

Perfect location in the central part of the city for a tourist, Clean and comfortable. Great fitness facility. Great view from roof top bar. Generous breakfast for 25 Euro. Well appointed furnishings. Good value for the money.

United KingdomWe were asked to pay at the property and told it had not processed. We were asked to check our bank account to see if the payment had processed. We explained that it would not show immediately but the reception person was insistent. We checked and it did not show. The reception clerk insisted we pay again, we explained that we might be charged twice, he was very concerned that we pay again before being allowed the keys to our room. We pad again. The next day two payments showed as being taken by the hotel so, as we had feared, we had paid twice. Upon check out on the Sunday we explained to the reception clerk that 2 payments were taken and we showed the online card statement. He explained that only one payment was showing on the hotel system and that any refund,if necessary, could only be processed the following day as the accounts did not open until Monday. On the Tuesday we checked again and the pending second payment had been cancelled. The person who checked us in had pre authorisation on my credit card via booking.com so I do not understand why we were made to pay twice and kept waiting like criminals after a very long journey by train. Had the payment we made not processed, it was easy to take a replacement payment.
Good location within easy access of the old town and plenty of places to eat nearby. Very clean, bed was comfortable.

FranceMy stay at the hotel was good until I have returned home from the hotel and saw that I was charged twice for the stay. After calling the hotel the staff first tried to persuade me that the didn´t actually took the money from my bank account (my bank accout tells a different story). Now I am waiting for someone competent to solve this issue (hotel said tomorrow) while having not a small amount of money unavailable.

Puerto RicoOne of the three rooms we had reserved weeks ahead of time had a broken air conditioner, and we had to wait until the following day to get another room.
We liked the comfortable rooms, the delicious buffet breakfast, the wonderful terrace, and of course the friendly service. Onofre and Claudia, in particular, went out of their way to make us feel at home and gave us lots of valuable information about the city and the culture. They're both excellent conversationalists, and they showed a genuine interest in us and in our needs. We commend them for their warmth, intelligence, professionalism, and hospitality.
