Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomNot sure that we were informed that there would be a charge for the parking until the moment we left, but may have missed this information. It wasn't a vast amount but came as a surprise.
Breakfast: Couldn't fault it, help yourself and was plentiful. Room: Unfortunately got a room next to the cleaning/linen store, so bit noisy with doors banging at 7.00 am! Otherwise quiet during night and very comfortable Location: Brilliant and perfect

Lovely room overlooking the Cathedral and very comfortable. Fabulous 1960s architecture.

United KingdomThe decorations are very 1980s and the hotel needs updating! The room was dark and old fashioned. The price of the hotel room and car park charge didn't impress! There was a lot of noise late at night, probably from the wedding party, but I realise that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Great breakfast choices. Close to the cathedral. The few members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was brilliant. Marmite was available 👏🏻 and the smoked haddock and poached egg was perfect. The location was ideal for me for visiting the cathedral. I had dinner one night which was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomLocation was excellent and the view from the restaurant is stunning. We stayed 2 nights-the first night the mattress had a crater in it. We asked to swap for the second night and were happily given a room with a bed with a new mattress. It was lovely. The room looked as though it had been refurbished-all apart from the back of the bathroom door. Mattress by in the first room and bathroom door in the second.

United KingdomAs a note to future residents, parking is £7 for the duration of the stay. Booking.com do not state this charge in their description and at no point between booking and arriving was I told about this, despite exchanging messages with the hotel about parking. It's not a big charge, but naughty of B.com (and the hotel) all the same.
Location was excellent, right in the centre of the historic city and opposite the cathedral. Staff were friendly and mostly helpful. Plenty of parking (but see below).
