Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GeorgiaThe interior is old, a bit shabby. But the room is a bit better than the lobby. At first it smelled a bit like smoke, but after airing it out it went away. The lighting in the room is a bit strange - some of them light up after a while. If you are walking from the Nord station, do not go out on the east side! A very unsafe area in the evening. But after the station, the civilized zone begins right away. The windows overlooked the highway, along which police cars with sirens often rushed. Due to the strike at Charleroi airport, we were able to arrive a day later, with high expenses. I warned the hotel about this in advance. Right away. On the spot, upon arrival, I asked for a discount for the day we did not use. They started a bureaucratic red tape, the hotel and Booking redirected to each other. Without result.
The linen is good, clean. They change it. The heating was on during the day, despite the rather warm days. Two good elevators. The metro is right at the entrance. There is a KFC nearby.

MaltaHotel rooms might need an upgrade, especially the bathroom's plumbing system, which was noisy at times. However, room has all amenities required in a hotel room including electricity outlets on each side of the bed.
It is an ideal location for both leisure and business trips in Brussels. It is next to Rue Neuve and has direct access to the Rogier Metro stop. When available, I always choose this hotel when I go to Brussels.

Quiet room, fairly big, close to city center. Staff was helpful, breakfast has good choices, but remain same every day. We had the view to the court, which was good, because the street in front of the hotel is very busy.

AustraliaMattress is very soft and you can feel the springs, pillows not comfortable, couldn't switch off the heating in the room it was too hot to sleep. Rooms are decent size but old, the bathroom old but very clean. It would have been a very nice hotel with a little update.
Location, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast had minimal options but was tasty and sufficient. For few nights it's a fantastic option.
