Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot sure what was on offer food wise, there is a restaurant there but we didn't use it, not very well publicised. There is a pool bar which was okay, was a bit hit and miss when it was open.
Only stayed there 3 nights but great location, walking distance to St Lawrence Gap which has fabulous bars and restaurants, right on the beach, grocery stores and supermarket close by if you want to self cater. Rooms are very spacious but a little bit tired.

United KingdomIf you are unlucky enough to be near the cleaning stations it is very noisy. Staff talk loudly and clatter, they could almost be in the room with you.

United StatesThere wasn't anything we didn't like about it.
There really wasn't anything we didn't like. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was super friendly. The French toast breakfast was the best we've ever had & the hotel breakfast was reasonably priced. The beach was not overly crowded with locals and/or tourists. The hotel was tucked away off the main road and within walking distance of the Mexican restaurant in St. Lawrence Gap. Within the block was a Greek Pita Pan Grill, little Caesars pizza, several food trucks, & two small grocery stores for all our cooking needs. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook meals. Honestly, the place was fabulous and we will be back!

United KingdomThe out of the way location is not scenic (we knew this beforehand) and would not really call this hotel a resort (too small). Beach is pretty but not very big (go elsewhere for a beach experience).
Coral sands is in a great (hidden) location 10-15min walk to St Lawrences Gap where you can find nice bars & restaurants - here you save money on taxi rides but you spend extra on food. Also there are convenience stores close by so handy for your essentials. Carlisle Bay is also close by and is a beautiful beach worth visiting. Room has a kitchenette which is very handy and overall it's very spacious. AC worked brilliantly and was much needed! Great value for money overall and we enjoyed our stay here.

United KingdomCould not fault anything about the resort.
The property was amazing, the view of the beach from our room was stunning! The room itself was excellent equipped and amazingly clean. Staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly. The resort was brilliantly located to the beach as well as the shops and restaurants.

United KingdomMy only criticism overall (and it isn't really one of the hotel itself) is that the pool area is not manned and doesn't have a security guard. During my stay there were a number of Canadian traveller couples who were drinking (a lot) in and around the pool with Glass bottles and glasses. The use of glass anywhere near a pool is extremely hazardous, and should not be permitted at all. One of the couples were openly drinking and smoking while in the pool, and they were both very drunk and not in control of their faculties (The man fell over at the poolside a number of times). The woman herself stayed in the pool for 4 hours one day and didn't not leave the pool at any time despite her partner bringing her MANY MANY drinks, so as you can guess she must have been relieving herself in the pool - YUK. This isn't actually the problem for the hotel, but if they had a manned pool, then behaviour like this by drunken travellers could be prevented.
Great location right on the beach with great sea views. 10 minutes drive from airport and 10 minutes from Bridgetown. Grocery stores 3 minutes walk way with bars and restaurants right on doorstep. St Lawrence gap (the strip) is only a 5 minutes walk along the main road. Great sized rooms, cleaned daily with beach towels included.

BrazilThe beds could be bigger. The poolside bar most of the time did not have someone to service.
Cleaning services were very good. The apartments have a small kitchen that is very useful. It is in front of the beach. The location is quite and nice.

United StatesThe rooms are a little outdated. This didn’t bother use. You also have to rent beach chairs and umbrellas, the price is very reasonable and the man is nice.
The rooms are massive and love that it was a small property and everyone had views of the ocean. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to two grocery stores and multiple restaurants.

GrenadaThe scent in the room. The hotel should try to neutralize the odor in the room left by previous guests I assume over a period of time. I didn’t like the breakfast I ordered from the in-house restaurant. Other than that a great stay.
Very convenient location. It is a beach front property so I get to wake up to the waves and seeing the ocean. There was a restaurant on location. The convenience of an elevator was a plus. Shopping, pharmacy, restaurants, fast food and gas station were very very close. Walking distance to 6mix, a lovely hill spot.

CanadaWould have liked some more basic supplies eg. Coffee, tea bags etc. Dish soap was provided when we requested. Hand/Face soap was supplied but no shampoo or conditioner, not a problem as we had our own.
Location is superb! The beach and the pool were very enjoyable, especially as it was quiet and very private, although all the beaches in Barbados are public. Grocery stores were within a few hundred metres and lots of choice of restaurants - all walkable! Beautiful sunsets.
