It’s right in the middle of the town and close to all the tourist spots. The staff are so nice and very accomodating and very quick to solve any problems we encountered.

Bathroom could have been designed better. Had to put everything of ours on the floor. However, the shower etc worked well and beds were comfortable. A few more drawers would have meant that we could have unpacked.

You do hear the church bells from 5.30am but they didn’t particularly bother us Room was a bit too warm, although we found a fan in the wardrobe which may have helped had we used it. We only spotted it on our last morning as we didn’t use the wardrobe

Nothing to dislike.

Situated on a pedestrian street. Easy to find walking from train. About 20 minutes . Breakfast buffet very good. Close to river and old town. Room clean. Our overlooked a patio. #31. Church bells ringing bring a nice ambiance. Plenty of restaurants in area. Recommend Gablerbrau for meal. Spar grocery 2 min walk. If taking 150 bus to Bad Ischel. Hofwirt stop 6 min away for on and off so you don't have to walk back to sudtiroler Platz. Hotel provided loaner umbrellas. A very nice touch. Great little pub in lobby.

It was a bit noisy early evening but nothing you wouldn't expect in a restaurant area and nothing late at night.

Excellent location in Salzburg, easy walk into old city. Pedestrian area in front of Hotel. Close to church with bells chimming early (we liked that). Staff were great, everything very convenient and good value for money.

Nothing, we enjoyed our short stay.

Booked at the last minute due to travel disruption, we were delighted to find such a nice stay at short notice. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, (our room was upgraded I think because they felt sorry for us!) and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and professional. We would certainly return to Hotel Krone if we were in Salzburg again.

There was nothing we did not like

Unbeatable location in the Rechte Altstatt: in the center of old Salzburg and on the quieter side of the river. The building dates trom 1512. Some aspects show their age. The room was small and the floor quite uneven. The bathroom is also small but modern and well equipped. All staff members were very friendly and helpful We were most grateful for the available umbrellas.

The room was small and for a long stay would probably be uncomfortable. It was fine for a night or two. The local taxes was only $3euro but I’d forgotten about that twist with Booking.com since it’s been a while since I sued the site.

The location is great and the attached bar was great for having drinks in the evening

Water pressure in the shower was very weak.

Super location. Room was basic but clean and everything that you would want from a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice and fresh. Parking also close by and accessible.
