Room is advertised with the AC, but you must go through a quest to get a remote for it. They sell remotes in the vending machine for 10EU. When turning on, AC makes horrific noises,makes it impossible to sleep.

Just be aware that a balcony (or ours, at least) was not one you could sit out on - it is just large enough to stand on. Note, too, that when we were there at least you arrived at reception to find no-one there and a note to check in at a hotel around the corner. Neither of these were big issues!

Breakfast was excellent. The location is RIGHT in the heart of Zell Am See in the main pedestrianised street, with restaurants all around, but is not noisy. Zell is very compact and leisurely and relaxed. The room was large, the bathroom and separate toilet spotless and smart. The hotel had just had a rebrand/makeover and so the breakfast room felt very fresh and contemporary.

The temperature was too hot in the bedroom, even when the heater was turned off.

The room was comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the location was perfect. I would love to come back with the family.

Nothing we didn’t like, but just be aware that the bunk beds in the family rooms are a little on the short side for older/taller kids, our 13 year old struggled a little.

Staff not present at advertised times for check-in (it was possible to sort this out, but a bit disconcerting when I'd advised the property of my arrival time). All a bit dowdy and old-style, room oddly laid out (but a very ample size)

Wonderful location and such a welcoming family. Every morning at breakfast (which was superb) the host made you fell very special and offered advice for activities dependant upon the weather.

Figuring out where to check in was somewhat difficult. To check in we had to had to go from one hotel to another, it was a bit confusing

The reception staff were very friendly and personally showed us around the amenities of the hotel. We had a fabulous evening meal in the hotel dining room.

Dated rooms which are in need of upgrading. The low shelf over the sink in the bathroom made washing difficult. Another issue worth noting was the towels which were thin and whilst clean appeared as old as the rooms.

The hotel is a bit old fashioned and could do with some updating, but it was charming and authentic and very clean and comfortable. The access to the car park in the adjoining car park was difficult.

The location was excellent. The availability of the summer card was a huge bonus. The staff were very helpful.

Incredible noise until 3:15 every night (the drunk people were probably employees of some restaurant or hotel, not necessarily this one) preventing us from sleep (we needed to leave windows open due to heat). Then garbage collection between 5 and 6 and bells at 7. Knowing that I would choose cheap hotels near the railway...
