We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of AmericaThe biggest problem we had happened one night at 4 am. I was in a deep sleep when the phone rang and the front desk guy told me that he believed we were smoking in the room because the smoke alarm was going off. I said, "What are you talking about?!" We are asleep!!" So he insisted that we must be smoking which I found VERY offensive because some light was going off on the alarm in their monitors. He insisted on coming up to inspect the room. He was very rude. When he came up, he did not come into the room, just poked his head in and said okay there is no smoke. I went back to sleep and then about 10 minutes later he calls AGAIN and says that the smoke light is still going off. They insisted on coming back up AGAIN and inspecting the bedroom and of course, found nothing. Then the next day they removed the smoke alarm. The next day after that, the toliet overflowed and the drain was closed and locked and so we weren't even aware until there was two inches of water on the floor. Make sure you remove the drain cover if you rent a room here so this doesn't happen to you. The other thing is that there is no balcony or patio so in the winter, it is very hard to dry the clothes after you wash them and the room can get uncomfortably humid. Besides these issues, we still had a good time at the hotel and the staff was very responsive and nice except for the guy who improperly accused of us of smoking at 4 in the morning.
Overall, we really liked the hotel but there were a couple of very significant problems that occurred that I mention below. The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. The tv worked well. The restaurant upstairs was amazing and has a fabulous sunday brunch. The food is high quality and so tasty. I loved the restaurant the best.
