Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was Amazing, it was such a good size, the location is great as easy access to the beach and surrounding hotels. Breakfast was lovely with all freshly ordered food with a selection of different food to help your self to. They went the extra mile to welcome my one year old baby. The butler on the watts app is also brilliant. Perfect Stay.

Where to begin!! An amazing hotel with world class facilities, food options, pools, spa/sauna, Michelin restaurants. There is something for everyone here from single travellers to couples to families or friends looking to have fun as a group.

We were at the hotel on arrival around 8am and even though the staff and myself knew the hotel wasn't full they still wanted to charge me half a night fee to check into the room early. I have stayed at the Burj 4 or 5 times now and think that we should have checked in early for free.

AustraliaThe living room area was way too cold even after having the air con turned down. I found the large mirror over the bed confronting & I did not like it, a beautiful painting would have been more acceptable. The location of the hairdryer was inconvenient and should be able to use it in the bathroom as well. The water in the shower was not hot enough but was hot when using the vanity.. I didn’t enjoy a “ warm” shower. We also had to move chairs around in the living room to be able to enjoy the views outside. It was also difficult to watch TV unless you re arranged the chairs.

Hong KongCheck out time and how many calls and pressure. Especially first night we check in at 2.30am which means 3/4 of normal rate gone. They could have been flexible instead keep calling every minutes .

FranceI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Burj Al Arab for 9 nights, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with unparalleled hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. The hotel's architecture is breathtaking—its sail-shaped structure is a true masterpiece and immediately gives you a sense of being in a unique place. The staff at the Burj Al Arab deserve special praise especially Manilla and our personal concierge. They were extremely responsive and attentive, always ready to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Whether it was arranging special dining experiences, providing personalized service, or catering to my specific needs, they were always "à l’écoute de toutes mes demandes." I was particularly impressed when they managed to locate my lost glasses at Atlantis the Royal and bring them back to me in less than an hour . This level of attention to detail and genuine care for guests made me feel valued throughout my stay. A huge thanks for the Hermès gift as well !
