Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI could not fault the hotel or their staff they contributed to a wonderful holiday.
The location of the hotel is approximately 100 metres from the beach, where you can rent beds, cabanas or you can just take your towel (supplied by Amwaj if you ask) and sit on the beach. The staff at the Amwaj could not be any more helpful and knowledgeable they go out of their way to ensure you are having a brilliant stay. Atif was our room steward who ensured our room was spotless everyday and any extras we requested eg tea bags, milk he made sure we never went without. There is a tram station about a 5 minute walk from the hotel which also links into the metro system both are excellent value, with numerous stops for the Dubai mall / burj khalifa as well as other attractions. The JBR walk at night is busy but very family friendly it has a huge variety of restaurants and bars, there was a drone show on one of the nights which was spectacular. We pre booked some attractions before we travelled and also booked hop on hop off city sightseeing via the hotel again an easy and pleasant experience. We were staying for a week, bed and breakfast, the choice of breakfast was varied and the standard excellent to the point that we could have had a different breakfast every morning, the choice of eating inside or on the terrace was brilliant again the staff were attentive. The pool was really good my 10 year old loved it and yes it isn’t always in full sun, but we planned around this, around 2pm onwards there was full sun and numerous beds available. There is access from the pool area via a lift to the pavement below and then onto the beach thus having to cross no roads whatsoever. The hotel also has an internal link to JB Gastro pub, where kids are allowed and the food was excellent, there was also a 20% discount for Amwaj guests, well worth a visit. We stayed in room 1611 advertised as a balcony room with a partial sea view, I have to say the view was amazing.

HungaryAmbush-style hooded crows and other bird species waiting to steal food from breakfast tables - but this phenomenon is probably not specific only for this hotel. On a default level, rooms are extremely chilled by the air conditioning - not to a healthy extent compared to the outside temperature. Solely three elevators serve 25 levels - this seems insufficient. At times, one has to wait a lot.
Abundant half board: breakfast and dinner in a buffet table system. Several English&continental&Asian breakfast options. I liked the freshly squeezed orange juice each morning. Safe and quite quick access to the sandy Jumeirah Beach. Unbeatable panorama from sea view balconies. Of the personnel, Barsha from Nepal is very kind.

IrelandI would like to say even though we were all inclusive we couldn't eat in all the restaurant's as that was classed as the all around package and that was extra and in the Atrium it was only free Tea or Coffee , All so the Horizon was closed so that was disappointing as there was no all day dining option . JB'S bar is lovely and had a good lunch menu but again your free drinks finished after the lunch here so if you wanted to go there at nigh time for a drink you payed for it.
I loved the location of this hotel, It was spotless from the reception, bedroom's ,restaurant's bathroom's and pool area well done to all the hard worker's. Room cleaned daily plenty of water ,coffee and tea bags. We had a see view room and what a view we had . I'd like to say all the staff were lovely especially Rica and Karthik always smiling. Plenty of choice in the Buffett to choose from something for everyone. I would definitely stay here again now I know more about the difference in the all inclusive .
