Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

France* The profit generated by the hotel could be re-invested by installing kettles/ tea-coffee making facilities into the rooms (which is a normal feature to expect in a 4 star hotel) * The drinks machines (for tea/coffee) in the dining room should be spread out around the room - to avoid the horrible traffic jam in one corner. We had to wait almost half an hour this morning before we could reach the machines - because the guests from 'package tour buses' took up all the space and queued for drinks nonstop - and so other guests were not able to get a hot drink with their breakfast (including us. We gave up and walked out, without being able to have a tea/ coffee with our food) * The hotel panders way too much to package tour guests - the noise generated by them (they seemed to be permanently seated in the reception area) and the smell of cigarette smoke generated by them, was absolutely horrible. It made passing through the reception area extremely uncomfortable
* The staff were excellent - hardworking, motivated, enthusiastic, helpful, polite * The pool and spa were excellent (when not crowded) * Amazing views of the mountains and city * Great location for access to the city

SpainThe hotel has its own parking but it is extremely small: low sealings and very small parking spaces. At the reception the staff told us that the parking is tight but we did not realize how tight it was until we got there. We only paid one day of parking at the hotel (16€) and the other day we used public parking nearby.
The location is great. Behind the reception there is an elevator that takes you to the street level of the city's central area. You can walk from there. We did not use it but the hotel has a gym, swimming pool and a sauna. The room was a good size. Had a mini fridge. All clean, beds comfortable. Also several paid public parkings are very close to the hotel.

United KingdomOur keycard stopped working almost every day it was very annoying to go down to reception every time and get it fixed. There was also some mould in the bathroom by the shower which put us off. Other than that it’s a great hotel.
The bed was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner were quite good for the price we paid and staff were also kind. Sauna and pool were great.

FranceIn no particular order, Flies.. loads of them, those little super-fast house flies that land on you and warp away at light speed before you can swat them. I told reception about this and their only 3 options were 1) put up with them, 2) when their colleague got back from eating, they would come and spray the room, 3) buy some fly spray yourself. Parking - although it’s cheap, man is it tight. The spaces are very small and people can’t park to save their lives. No caffeinated coffee available in the rooms - if you want a ‘full fat’ coffee, you have to buy one from the bar. No milk or creamer in the room either, however the barman let me off with a glass of milk that should have been 2 euros. The fridge is tiny and is stocked with a few cans of coke/bottles of water. Note some of the cans are labelled as RRP of 75p (english?) but would have cost 2.3 euros (might be 2.5) from the fridge. The spa bath in the room was a little tired. The last night we were there, a family moved into the room next to ours and were very noisy. There was a terrific scream at precisely midnight which nearly caused a bodily accident. So the soundproofing could do with upgrading between the rooms. For a 4* hotel, the lack of caffeinated coffee, milk/creamer and fly killer seems an oversight.
The location is great for the wonderful ‘main strip’ full of shops. If you want to experience the myriad of perfumeries, electronic stores, clothing and tobacco/alcohol stores, this is a very good option. There is on-site parking at 16e/day which is (from my limited research) good value for the area. The room we had (junior suite) was sizeable, clean, had 2 tv’s, an electric (log effect) fire, 2 small sofas, 3 swivel chairs and a round table. It also had a kettle and tea and (decaffeinated) coffee facilites. A large bed, views over the city and 2 a/c units make up the rest of the facilites. Breakfast is plentiful with a good selection of food, not so much on the cereal side, but it can get very busy at times. The staff were on the whole, excellent. The tall slim dark-haired lady on reception was exceptional and I wish i’d had some money on me to tip her with (or even remember her name just for the review would have been a good start!). The room we has was very quiet, situated at the end of a no-through corridor, with 1 exception (which i’ll details in the not-so-good bits). Theres a couple of pin ball tables, a pool table and some video games on the ground floor (round the back) too. I booked my wife a full body massage and she reported that it was fantastic. At 64e it was a bargain. On the top floor theres a sun-deck, small swimming pool and a jacuzzi which although busy at times, was clean and appeared well looked after.
