At night, the lighting was fantastic, especially the area lit up to resemble dandelions near the Sky Spa. Cuisine: The staff were very professional, so the meals were ready while we were chatting. The complimentary drinks were all delicious, and the quality of the meat and vegetables was top-notch. The ravioli and sausages for breakfast were also exquisite. Lounge: We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the interior and the art displayed. The books and photographs provided great conversation starters, and the alcohol flowed, making for a delightful time. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Love the private onsen. Well designed and spacious of the room. Hotel even provide a small bottle of champagne for us. What we see on the website regarding the room and the hotel surrounding is exactly what we see when we there. 👍 We also love the public onsen where there is indoor and outdoor. Love the unlimited snow crab dinner buffet. Hotel also has a lot of nice, comfortable resting area. Love the hotel able to provide transport to bus terminal and Yabatake town.
Great place to stay and enjoy an evening after having explored the town of a day at the local ski resort. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had plenty to do at the leisure area in the hotel lobby. There were even a gaming consoles to keep you busy throughout the night in hotel rooms. The owner runs a great coffee shop just down the road which hosts a very skilled barista who makes fantastic coffee just like what you would find in Australia. The hotel has three different onsens to choose from and all the necessary amenities.
All the staff at the resort were so helpful, friendly and pleasant. The snowboarding experience was incredible not over crowded. The food at the resort was amazing.
It’s close to the ski resort.
A traditional onsen resort in the cutest little town. We stayed as a group of 6 in 2 rooms. Food was very traditional Japanese and was always set menu. There was so much no one went hungry even if they were picky. The onsens were beautiful with open air sections on to the river.
Brilliant basic business hotel with excellent access to Gunma's ski resorts. Clean, efficiently operated and sharply priced. The staff did an excellent job with their English communication. Will use again as a base for future snow visits.
Close to centre via shuttle bus and ski resort. Busy, well run hotel.
Staff was very cooperative and place was very near to skii resort area.Onsen area was nice.we enjoyed it.
- Onsen at the resort was nice, particularly the outdoor ones. - Onsen is nearly open 24h - Japanese traditional room - Good location, not too far from the centre
The Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village is more a resort than a hotel. I don’t know when it was built, but I’m guessing around the mid-seventies, when the resort was probably a very nice place to spend your vacation. The baths are very nice. The staff is top notch!!! Helpful and nice at all times. But then again, so was every person we met in Japan for 3 weeks, so I’m sure you would find that on other local hotels as well.
