Without a doubt the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in in NYC. Old style luxury, tonnes of history, sumptuous everything, beautiful apartment. Yes it’s pricey but so worth it.

when booking you are told that a resort fee is mandatory. I did end up using the fee as the lounge is in an excellent location to view times square.

Room was beyond luxury! Our other NYC hotel room would have fit into the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was like a swimming pool. Staff gave us a free glass of champagne and mini desserts as we were still in our wedding garb!

This place is really memorable. Do read the reviews and check out the full listing. Yes it's not luxury but it was safe, clean and in the heart of Manhattan. I travelled solo as a female and felt safe. Everyone was very quiet in the common area and the staff were helpful and friendly. Was really cool being in the tranquily lit common area and seeing the skyscrapers outside

"Keep smiling - it makes people wonder where you've been" This motto is nailing it. From pre-arrival communication to Front Desk to room to drinks and restaurant to door - outstanding service throughout! Our room had a lovely view of the Empire State Building, was spacious and equipped with everything you need. The bar and the restaurant offer great food and drinks, the Rooftop is great for a good time and the location is awesome to get to all the sights ans places you have in mind.

Not that clean and the value wasn't great after they charged a $40 resort fee for each guest, totaling $160 on my bill. It's not a resort and I didn't use any resort facilities. It said the fitness room and city bikes are what is charged for the resort fee. Kind of a scam.

This hotel and Cloud One in the FiDi are my go to hotels when I come here for work annually. I prefer midtown "east", the hotel is close to GCT, public transit and many food options. The room was nice, the view looks into a neighboring building. Another hotel without a resort or destination fee.

This is my 4th time staying here, I like the location, accessibility, the bar, size of the room, etc. Plus for me, this hotel does not have a resort or destination fee. That is not a city, state or federal tax, it is a "because we can" fee. It can equal to an additional nights stay.

Hotel has excellent location. Breakfast and Bar are outstanding. Beds are comfortable and hotel provides very luxury amenities (Byredo) We enjoyed our stay. It is noce vintage hotel, but small touch-up renovation would bring it to the next level

Fast speed wifi and complimentary bottled water at the lobby (all inclusive with the hotel resort fee). I would prefer to opt out of it. 2nd day check-in staff is more accommodating and switch our room.
