This long weekend was great!
This long weekend was great! I brought two friends with me who had never been to the city. We did some touristy things and enjoyed some restaurants recommended by a local. You just need to visit for 2-3 nights to realize how fun NYC can be. The people are also really lovely. It is a great city with so much to do. Bring small bills for tipping and good shoes for walking.
Take the free Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. A little tip to save some $. Sit in the balcony for a Broadway play/musical. Pop into a restaurant that you have never heard of. I also recommend doing a day or two of the hop-on/hop-off bus for newbies to get their bearings.

We had high expectations of Newyork but this trip really excelled in every way. It’s absolutely our favourite city we have ever visited.
It took us a day or two to fully understand the subway but as soon as we did we found it a great way to travel round the city and also very cost effective.
For seeing attraction’s we decided to get the Newyork city pass. We brought these online before we arrived in Newyork and we also found this was a cost effective way of seeing nearly all of the sites we wanted to see and managed to save a great amount of money doing it this way. We ate some incredible food and I feel there was something for everyone.
We can’t wait to return one day and It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend to all our family and friends to visit.

Time square area is great if you like action and neon although it can be a bit much..a lot much. Central Park and venturing down to West 14th street is a joy and has some marvellous galleries and restaurants. A trip to the Cloisters north of Central Park is very interesting and shows another side of N.Y. and Central Park itself is a joy.

It is a big, brash and noisy city but with many wonderful places to see and visit. We particularly loved the Art Galleries and museums. The subway is confusing and a little intimidating but other travellers were very helpful in assisting us.

I have stayed already in several hotels in NYC through the years and I can easily say that this one is the best.. not only the cheapest regarding the price.. but the most confortable (with modern design and furniture) very clean (never saw this level of cleanliness in NYC) and well located. Staff is very nice (we asked for a room on top floors and got it) and always ready to assist (not the case in most Manhattan), spacious room, a big gym.. we had the best time!
Large room relative to Manhattan, but for sure the are not 323ft as indicated at Booking, it seems less than 200ft which is still large for this area.
A car pickup/drop place at the hotel backward very helpful at this busy area of Manhattan.
The location at the Times Square for some people will be best, for other maybe too busy and crowded
Great hotel for a getaway in New York! We loved absolutely everything! The view from our room of Times Square was amazing. And best of all, there's a restaurant on the first floor and a bar with a lovely outdoor terrace!
