Brooklyn Bridge - worth a visit to see the skyline of Manhattan and we had a gorgeous sunset.
Empire State Building - this classic skyscraper did not disappoint and apart from the super views it has a very well laid out history and informative exhibition. A must for the to do list but book ahead!
The Summit (Vanderbilt building) - excellent well organised tour with a few additional twists to visiting a skyscraper. The provision of sunglasses were a necessity for a sunny day and all the reflections. The bar/diner at the top was a welcome touch to enjoy a drink (it is of course NY prices). Book this site ahead!
9/11 Museum - this has been very thoughtfully constructed and a respectful insight into one of the worst terrorist atrocities! Well worth a visit and I defy you not to be touched to the memorial to all of the customs as there loved ones relate to who they were and personalise the story! Very humbling!
The High Line - a free walk along a converted freight line in lower east Manhattan! There isn’t too much that’s free in NY so if you want a walk with a difference head to this and enjoy a unique stroll through the apartments and buildings of lower Manhattan!
Radio City Music Hall (Christmas Spectacular)
This is a mixture of old Holywood Musical with a troupe of dancing girls, ‘The Rockettes’ telling out the story of Christmas with a few clever twists (well quite a few twists) and absolutely well worth seeing! Like most things American the theatre was huge but be prepared to be well entertained as Santa gets to weave his way through the story!
NY is all that it promises to be - loud, non stop, in your face and spectacular in its own unique way! It doesn’t encapsulate all of what America is but it certainly makes an impression on you, including your wallet!

Above street transport was abundant but unfortunately streets are very busy.Below ground (Subway) was superbly fast when no problems. General info on transport waas good online the only issue was info on what those sites were.

The big apple, what a wonderful city! From lots to offer in terms of food and drinks to breath taking city views, it's a place where one discovers more and more with every visit. We enjoyed a breakfast of New York bagels and coffee before taking on the day, staying in the flowery Chelsea district and walking for the most part. With that said, transport around the city was easy to navigate with contactless payments now accepted on the subway and New York buses.

Ice skating at the Rockefeller Center was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. We saw a Broadway show at the Broadway Theater (The Great Gatsby), which was quintessentially NYC. The Bryant Winter (outdoor) market has great shops and food. Visits to FAO Schwartz, Disney store, M&M Experience, Macy's on 34th, and more are quick ways ti see a lot. We mainly stated in Manhatten, but we did take the subway to SOHO and went to The Strand bookstore, This is a large non-chain bookstore with a lot of content. Lunch at Katz's deli was good, but also chaotic, as it's both a tourist destination, and a popular spot for the locals.
We mainly walked, but we did use ride share, and the NYC subway for a day trip to SOHO. I was a little intimidated at the subway, but found it easy to navigate. Plus, you don't need a specific card/token, you can just use any contactless credit or debt card.
The Harrison bar/grill was a good place for dinner. Easy to get in and out. Joe's Pizza was not as special as what was made out to be.

New York is a city with energy. It's lively and definitely worth visiting for both business and pleasure. The only downside, it's expensive because of the high demand, especially parking. They can charge anything they want from $70 to $100 for 24 hour stay.

We are Chicago people so it was hard for us to try to love it. But we absolutely loved NYC!!!!! Don’t give into the chatter of rude people. They’re great people! They’re not going to baby you but are perfectly wonderful. And not stinky like I was warned. We can’t wait to get back!!

I spent my 40th birthday at the Courtyard by Marriott in New York Manhattan/Central Park and I had the most amazing time from checking in with Gen, to Jamie's (I think that was his name) hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream at the lobby, after bracing the snowy weather, and finally to the check out experience with William. The shower was lovely ( the right amount of hot water plus pressure), and the location is alright, many restaurants nearby and about 10 minutes walk from Times Square

- amazing breakfast, it is the best open buffet breakfast in New York
- rooms are very clean
