The staff are exceptional. Polite, friendly, and very professional. Everything is done to a high standard. This was our second stay at this hotel and celebrating our anniversary. They provided cake and sparkling wine on arrival as a surprise. Great beach to relax and good food and drinks. Very highly recommend this hotel

Firstly, the staff and service are what truly shine in this hotel. Everyone, from servers, receptionist to cleaning staff was polite, greets you nicely and reaches out to help when needed.
Secondly, the buildings and surroundings are well kept and look nice, with beautiful flowers and trees spread around the premises. The main pool area is great with very nice quality seats and cabanas. This, combined with other guests being frankly older, made for a much more calm and relaxing experience, in contrast to some other hotels where the noise and bustling sounds are more pronounced.
Finally I would like to extend my gratitude to the management for arranging an upgrade for me and my family to a villa, so that we could more conveniently spend time together on this trip.

Beautiful and tranquil resort, perfect place for a relaxing vacation. They have very modern amenities and lovely and helpful staff. The food was also exceptional. We had a half board and both breakfast and dinner had a great variety and good quality food every day.

The resort was beautiful and in such a stunning location. The staff were very attentive and helpful when you needed anything. The pools, loungers and restaurants were spotlessly clean and the gym was brilliant. The outdoor gym was in a spectacular setting if you could handle the heat! We received a free room upgrade which was a lovely touch. The food was amazing and the sun set was beautiful..
Everything was incredible, the food options are endless. You just can't be hungry enough! An all inclusive resort but with the service and vibe of a very exclusive one! The best part though was the staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nice and they genuinely wanted you to feel comfortable. Loved absolutely everything, will be definitely revisiting even though we are locals.
From arrival through to leaving we were so well looked after by the staff. The hotel and location is breath taking, absolute luxury. The food was phenomenal and options across the resort for food, sunbathing and entertainment is vast. We used the spa several times for treatments and had a relaxing time. We are already excited to return.
It was unfortunate that the entire reservation process was truly miserable and did affect the stay. The Resort is nice but the staff truly dissapointing. They did make up for it with a few things but we will not book here again. But all in all a lovely resort with big pools and "all-inclusive" service.
Such a lovely place to stay. Great atmosphere. my husband and I were lucky to have a room with a private pool which faced the sea. absolutely perfect! The staff were very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend staying at The Royal Blue Luxury Resort.
This is a decent 4 star All-Inclusive resort "in the middle of nowhere" , The closes village is about 3 miles away and Rethymno - 11 miles away.
You can't get nowhere, unless you take taxi or rent a car, Taxi to/from airport 75 euro, to Rethimno 29 euro. City bus to Heraklion 8 euro. Car rent is not cheap. Sub-compact with automatic transmission - $210 for 3 days
Food is good, drinks are not so good, but decent.
