Very pleasant room and overall atmosphere. No strong chemicals used for cleaning which is important to us. Great location to walk to most things in central Svolvaer. A town short on history, now trying hard to update and improve itself. Superb location twixt sea and mountains, gateway to Nordland and the Lofotens, and plenty of beautiful walking country at the edge of town. Good air links, but the unique rail service should not be forgotten.
Very nice hotel, 5 minutes walk to main station as well as bus stop coming from Narvik (Nordlandssjukhuset bus stop). Nice room, good breakfast, everything exceeded all expectations.
Breakfast was the Best we’ve ever had. Location is in front of pier, great view from our window. We’ve upgraded to a higher floor and it was worth it. Big room, warm bathroom floor. Taxi from airport is about $30. There’s a number in wall of arrival area to call for taxi. It’s like a private pickup since there’s no taxis waiting outside the airport(we arrived late evening).
Everything! The location was superb! The whole area including the actual accommodation was just beautiful! The accommodation was quaint and so charming, we loved it and would definitely stay there again! The heated flooring in both bathrooms (the 2 bedrooms had their own ensuite). The breakfast was also really good! The location is also great if you are taking any of the tours.
What a grand old hotel. It is stunningly beautiful, and perfectly located at one end of famous Sjøgata. My room looked out over the little hotel garden with beautiful lights decorating the trees, and the river just behind it. Very tranquil. My single room was reachable through a sort of rustic vestibule decorated with beautiful old furniture. There was a staircase down to the main restaurant, where soft piano music came up. Very nice, I liked to sit and listen. My room was actually 3 rooms, an antechamber, a main room with dresser and armchair, and the bedroom. I'm impressed. Bathroom was spaceous. The hotel offers multiple restaurants and bars, including a cocktail bar. Staff was very friendly, Breakfast was rich with everything from cereals to mini pancakes.

truly exceptional llighthouse in a simply stunning location! outstanding kitchen. very good value for money. I just watched the documentary «Fyrbarna» (the lighthouse children) on tv.NRK.no. a lovely recapitulation of our fabulous stay.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and professional. My prior kind requestes regarding an early morning breakfast take away bag and a room with a view as well as an upper floor location were satisfied. The ambiance was very pleasant.
The home was big and cozy with a fire place. It has a big balcony above the sea and a lower stairs with access to the sea where we enjoyed a dream breakfast. Linn, who was responding to my requests/queries was exceptionally helpful. Thanks to her we had a pleasant and memorable experience in Lofoten.

The place is lovely and the owners are friendly. The camping place has a few larger huts, several tiny ones and spots for tents and caravans. The larger houses are very nice and clean with big windows and great views. While they are intended for five, we barely fit in and there were only four of us. The stairs to the second floor are extremely steep (it creates lovely space but for some people it may not be possible to climb). The location is just perfect.
