The view from the hotel was spectacular. It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.

Located in a late 19th century Art Noveau-style building overlooking the Måbø Valley, Fossli Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms. Vøringsfossen Waterfall is next to the hotel. The hotel is right next to the super impressive Voringfoss. The eternal sound of the waterfall, is the only sound you will hear when you go to sleep. The room and the entire hotel was super clean and for me the most exciting was that when I first stepped into the hotel it was like I entered into a time capsule and returned 50 years ago. One of my best stays! Highly recommended!!!

Everything was extraordinary, great attention to details. The food was the best that I've ever had in Norway! They have an excellent chef, great wine and whiskey choices. This is a very classy hotel located on the Sørfjorden, a narrow branch of the Hardangerfjord, so narrow that you can see across the fjord from your room. Setting is spectacular. Spa facilities were excellent with several pools, sauna, hot tub. We hiked from the hotel up through the apple orchards along a river valley to a waterfall, about 3h walk, not too strenuous with great views. Dining on site is lovely but expensive; there are other options near by.
Breakfast was super good. Very good coffee, bread, salmon and meat, and home made jams. The location is great in case you also have an activity booked with Trolltunga Active. The meetings happen the day before your activity inside this hotel so that is very convenient. You can also walk over a bridge and along the lake. The views are stunning. You can walk from the hotel into town but it's a little hilly. We booked a triple room which was very spacious and this one had his own private bathroom which was super spacious as well. We booked a double room with sharing bathroom and that was a good option as well. In the morning, it was only a 20 min drive up to Parking A nearby Trolltunga Active store and starting point for the Overnight Trolltunga hike.

After dinner in house (highly recommended) we were treated by our host to sample some of the local apple cider and a history of the guesthouse.
Friendly staff and a lovely room with en-suite in the annexe building. Good breakfast also included. We booked a room with shared bathroom but were upgraded to and en-suite one. Very kind and perfect at the end of a long day.

Amazing place! Nice location near water, bus stop, hiking trials and city center. Good for people with no car and, I assumed, great for those who have one. Clean shared bathrooms (we used only those for private rooms) and big kitchen. In the camp you have everything you need and even some free food left by other guests. However, it's good to take your own cups and cutlery because there is only few of them and a lot of guests! :)
We stayed one night in the main house and one in the cabins. Both were great but we found the cabin particularly atmospheric. The views, location, breakfast and ambiance were all excellent, but our fabulous host Gen was what made our stay truly memorable. His hospitality was amazing and he really made us feel so welcome. We would definitely come back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend. Thanks so much Gen!
