The Crown Inn Pooley Bridge has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Pooley Bridge. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. The staff were so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The Crown Inn, is well located and is very charming. An excellent combination of traditional with a modern twist. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. We stayed in room 17 which was on the top floor and had beautiful views of the lake. All in all, our stay was everything we could have wished for and we will definitely be back.

A Regency house overlooking Ullswater, the Macdonald Leeming House has an award-winning restaurant and views of the Cumbrian Fells. It is a 15-minute drive from the M6 motorway. The Hotel location over the lake with lots of wonderful views. Quite area away from the busy town.

The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.

Offering garden views, Barton Hall Country House is an accommodation located in Pooley Bridge, 30 km from Derwentwater and 37 km from World of Beatrix Potter. Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

Located within UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Lake District National Park, Waterfoot Park provides accommodation with complimentary WiFi is available in some properties. Beautiful location and easily accessible to the Lakes and places we wanted to visit including Keswick, Ambleside, Grassmere, Windermere, Pulley Bridge and beautiful scenery. House was perfect for us. We were a family of 9. Granny and grandad, 2 boys, their wives and children under a year and our daughter. Facilities in the house were excellent and being located next to the building with a bar was ideal. Beautiful clean campsite too.

Located just 21 km from Askham Hall, Old Water View offers accommodation in Patterdale with access to a garden, a bar, as well as private check-in and check-out. Everything! Lovely, friendly hosts, cozy resident lounge with log fire, stunning views, lovely character room with ensuite, great recommendation for dinner (Travellers Rest Inn, an easy, pretty flat walk apart from short incline at the end), fabulous breakfast.....and stayed in Alfred Wainwright's room apparently!

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Lowthwaite B&B is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Watermillock, 13 km from Askham Hall. We had a wonderful stay. The whole place is quite romantic and relaxed. Decoration is very good and has a bit of history, that the host will tell you about. The bedroom has a bathroom (with a big bathtub) and another one with just a toilet, a small living room with TV and sofas, and a room with two twin bed, that they kindly displayed together since we were a couple. Toiletries, towels and bathrobes were provided and good quality. Everything was quite clean. The place is very quiet, no noise whatsoever and quite close to Ullswater. The hosts were amazing, giving us plenty of suggestions of what to do around the area, they respect your privacy while being completely available. You have a place to park easily, and the hosts gave accurate directions. Honestly my favourite part was the breakfast which was excellent!! Probably the best breakfast I ever had on a hotel/BB! Everything was very fresh and made with excellent ingredients - you have a time slot and let them know what you want in advance (you have several options) and they will cook in for that time, so everything is fresh and warm. We were very glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again.

Located in Patterdale and only 22 km from Askham Hall, Crookabeck B&B provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. A lovely place with great hosts. The room was very spacious and had a lot of light, everything was clean. A lot of nature and walks around the B&B, an amazing view from the terrace. Also, we were absolutely stuffed after the breakfast, it was very good. I can definitely recommend this place

The staff are absolutely wonderful; they are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is peaceful, and the setting is like something out of a fairytale. The views over Ullswater are stunning. The food is of very high quality and the service is excellent. There isn't anything I can fault. We will definitely be returning. It's the staff that give it a wonderful ambience; they are so lovely.
We enjoyed our stay at Patterdale Hotel, particularly having a room with a view! The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the restaurant menu was great value for money. The position of the hotel for immediate access to walks with fantastic views across Ullswater. Unexpected Saturday evening entertainment was an enjoyable bonus.

I loved the location. 10 mins walk to Ullswater Lake. Didn't know there's a bus from Penrith Station which stops outside the Sun Inn. Another plus is the 508 bus into Penrith village has a bus stop right outside the hotel. The staff were friendly and very diligent in making sure we were attended to. Breakfast is great! Compliments to the chef as dinner was excellent!

Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Ullswater is a beautiful place to visit and the Pooley Bridge Inn never disappoints. All the staff make your visit the best experience. The breakfast is fantastic with a good choice and a large choice of evening meals. I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and I highly recommend it.

Superb food! We had dinner as well as breakfast at the hotel and the dinner especially was fantastic. The room was cosy and warm, with a lovely comfy bed. It was invaluable being able to park on site too. The location couldn't have been better for getting out on Ullswater.
Excellent location for exploring all that Ullswater has to offer. Ate dinner at the hotel one night (nice) and the breakfasts were excellent too. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

The location was perfect for Ullswater and the Lakes. Hotel food was really good.
On arrival I was greeted with a warm smile, and helped up to my room with my case, as it was very heavy. At breakfast there was a good selection from yogurts to fruit ,and of course the menu to choose from, can highly recommend the full English breakfast, also the service was very good too.
