A fantastically modern yet historical and vibrant city with excellent transport links. Lots of bars and restaurants offering a variety of food styles. Very welcoming and friendly. The local bus service is cheap and easy to use so you don't need a car. It's close to the Port. We hired bikes to go beyond the city and used the bus network to see other towns. This is such a great city you will not be disappointed with a short or long visit.Guest review byKatrynaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Breathtakingly beautiful, with fantastic views everywhere, a relaxed pace of life and warm and peaceful culture. We came for the Boudin Museum and were not disappointed. What a fantastic collection and how beautifully curated! That this was also the birthplace of Eric Satie, was astonishing. The little ethnographic museum was delightful, and St. Catherine's church unique and extremely interesting.Guest review byCaraveli - 6.0

I was in Deauville for the Bridge Festival, so chose the location for that reason. However, I would say that some of the restaurants in Deauville are not great value or quality and prefer to eat in Trouville where there is better choice and value in my opinion. It is all down to personal taste, obviously many wealthy Parisians and foreign visitors like to be in Deauville, for the beach and top hotels. Relative to Trouville it is quite smart, but Trouville is more lively and overall more interesting. Next time, I will stay in Trouville although it is more of a walk to the casino.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A great holiday town and it felt a very quintessential French seaside experience. Trouville is a Joyful and fun spot to spend a few days. We walked the plancher (boardwalk) and found the amazing fish market in town with fabulous on site seafood restaurants. We did not need to use our car. We enjoyed the ambiance and cleanliness of the town. Loved the shopping opportunities and choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. We loved seeing families out using the beach activities: crazy golf, donkey rides, little train, tennis, pétanque. We stayed at the Flaubert. Our hotel staff were so friendly and kind.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We like Ouistreham very much.
We like Ouistreham very much. The old town and church are well worth visiting and the beautiful memorials on the beach are very moving. We are not young (!) but enjoyed the sea air and were able to park our car easily for a gentle walk through the trees to the beach. Lovely. I enjoyed watching the the river traffic from our hotel windows. It was a very memorable part of our long stay in France.Guest review bykeithUnited Kingdom - 8.0

This is a small early twentieth century town with a magnificent beach and is a super base to explore the area from. There is so much history just a short drive away and the city of Deauville can be reached extremely easily along the coast road. Walking and cycling opportunities are excellent too. The local restaurants are very good - we particularly enjoyed eating at Le Mermoz. The fish market in Trouville was also amazing.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are a history buff, Courseulles is a great location to explore the main D-Day sites. It is also a good spot for a relaxed family vacation as there are many interesting nature and architectural sites to visit and several excellent trekking trails in the area. As my trip was focused on the 80th D-Day anniversary, I hope to come back and experience the other attractions which Courseulles and the surrounding area offer.Guest review byMelShalevIsrael
