This is a pleasant family-run guest house, about 2km from the Cluny Ville bus stop and visitors' centre, so close enough for convenience but far enough that you feel like you're out of town and get a nice quiet night. The hostess was warm, welcoming and generous, the food was delicious, the setting was quiet and beautiful, and the room was comfortable. The evening meal was nice, home-cooked regional fare, and the breakfast was just what I was expecting, with coffee, tea, juices and some croissant and crusty bread with butter and jam set out on a sunny patio. The wifi signal and water pressure were both strong, and everything was very clean and tidy.

The pool is a delight on a lazy summer afternoon and I imagine the fireplace in the cost common living room would be just as relaxing and welcoming in colder months. Emeric is a great cook and prepares a real variety of things for breakfast (homemade bread, simple breakfast pastries, yogurt etc.) using local organic produce. We also had dinner which was very tasty and paired with an excellent Marsannay from the region. All in all, highly recommended stay whether for a brief stopover or a longer break. You will struggle to find anything that even matches Tomette Singulière within a 200km radius.

When looking for an accommodation in the area we went for a studio with cooking facilities, a washing machine and a TV. It turned out to be a B&B instead due to erroneous registration by Booking (the place is brand new, open for just a week before we arrived). Nevertheless, we enjoyed a most hospitable reception by Marie and Gerard who had turned an old stable into paradise on earth. Rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable and quiet. The view from the garden is absolutely astonishing. It's a perfect starting point to explore the area and a sweet retreat from the hustle of a big city.
