Located 33 km from Kingsholm Stadium, Broome Farm offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Wonderful room with coumfy bed and lovel decor, also truly stunning bathroom. Truly lovely staff who had gone out of their way for us and there was some special cider left in our room and a cider cake for our honeymoon. All in all couldnt be better! Stunning location also, very peaceful.

Located just 300 metres from Wilton Castle, Orles Barn Guest House features accommodation in Ross on Wye with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service. Great breakfast, staff and the general standard of everything was high.

Situated 41 km from Kingsholm Stadium, The Paddocks Cottages offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and barbecue facilities. The location was fantastic there are plenty of walks to choose from and some lovely dog friendly pubs locally. Will definitely look at returning some time.

Set in Coleford, 32 km from Kingsholm Stadium and 42 km from Bristol Parkway Station, Pomegranate offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. Pomegranate House is a self catering apartment but the hosts leave items for breakfast such as cereal, bread and jam, coffee, tea and milk which is a nice, welcoming touch. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped. I stayed here five years ago when visiting England from Canada and was pleased it was available when I visited England and the Forest of Dean again this year.

With oak beams and flagstone floors, this 16th-century bed and breakfast features traditional, spacious rooms with antique wooden beds. Old building with lots of character and appeal. Craig and Lynne are just brilliant hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Both are so helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area. Excellent location, lovely breakfasts and really comfortable bed. Contrary to reports about the noise from the nearby A40, no problem sleeping when shutters and curtains closed. Would definately recommend this B&B.

In the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye, the family-run Bridge House has a large garden overlooking the river. On a recent trip to England to visit friends and sightsee, it was recommended we visit the town of Ross-on Wye, so we booked the Bridge House for two nights. If I had to choose between what we liked best--the accommodations, hosts, location or breakfasts--I'm not sure I could. All were outstanding, and we would not hesitate to stay again. The room offered a gorgeous view across the garden and river to the town, dominated by the church steeple. Everything in it was beautifully appointed and thoughtful, and the bed was extremely comfortable with lovely linens. Breakfast? Heavenly, served in the light and airy dining room with options chosen the night before, so no delays in serving time. Hosts Katherine and Kevin were SO welcoming, and when we asked for a suggestion for a hike, immediately provided a map and detailed instructions that were spot on. The hike is one of our favorite memories of the trip. They also recommended the pub directly across the street on our first night there since we didn't want to go far. We sat outside by the river and had a hearty, delicious dinner. However, the walk into town is quick and easy too, along an idyllic path along the river and through a park. We had a terrific dining experience on our second night at the Italian restaurant in town. Our stay at Bridge House was one of our favorite stops in a 10-day trip. Don't hesitate to book here. A recently renovated holiday home located in Saint Briavels, Historic cottage in the beautiful Wye Valley features a garden. The cottage was really well equipped and very cosy and comfortable. There was a lovely plate of freshly baked scones with jam and cream to welcome us. Also, the owners had provided all those little extras that it's so easy to forget. Everything was lovely and clean and in good order, and the beds were very comfy. The village of St Briavels was lovely, with a friendly pub, which was 5 minutes walk from the cottage. We were able to do some great walking from the cottage door, and didn't need to use our cars all weekend. We would very happily stay here again next time we find ourselves in this beautiful part of the country.
