Surrounded by 8.5 acres of beautiful grounds, The Boars Head Hotel offers an à la carte restaurant, and a traditional carvery. A 20-minute drive from Ashbourne, it has free Wi-Fi, and free parking on site.

Room was clean and a good size. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional with a large choice of quality dishes. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Special mention to the young lady with dark hair and black glasses who served most of our meals (sorry, didn't ask her name) who was a credit to the hotel, enjoy your hard earned and well deserved day off on Tuesday!

It was lovely nights stay and just what we needed for a mini get away. The owners clearly work so hard, made conversations and were friendly. We took our dog along for the evening and he was made a fuss off at any given opportunity which we appreciated. He was on a long leash outside and wasn’t a problem to anyone.

This is our third time at the Boar's Head. We always stop when my daughter is competing at dog agility competitions, so always have at least one dog with us. All the staff are amazing with myself (or my husband), my daughter and the dogs. The beds are comfortable, the food tasty and the surroundings great!
