The host was very kind and helpful. There are some trails starting nearby for hikes, but for most places you would need to drive to get to the river, waterfalls, and miradouros.

When the weather is cold, you can buy pellets from the owners or take them with you from the bigger city (you cannot buy them anywhere close to apartment).

I would absolutely stay here again, and I will recommend it to anyone I know who will be in Portugal!
