This is a great place to wake early and look for the condors and many many other birds. The grounds are a stunning garden of flowers and sweet-smelling herbs. It was fantastic having a slow morning soaking in the views and enjoy the stunning scenery. The dinner was one of our best in Peru, which we did not expect! Terrific soups, perfectly cooked meat and wonderful flavors. We had herbal tea freshly picked from the garden.

The breakfast is the best I’ve seen in a hostel -which is explained by the fact that this is a hotel that also has a dorm. There’s tea, coffee and coca leaves available free of charge through the day. The dorm is great, with curtains for privacy, a locker, a light and a socket in each bed. The place is clean and the showers have good pressure and hot water. And the best part is the staff. Lovely, accommodating, welcoming. A big shout out to Mary, who made me feel at home from the first hola :)
