Pretty ok. Breakfast was extremely basic (coffee, one fat pancake, Marmelade and butter). There seemed to be only one person to manage the whole property. Had to ask about towels, shower wasn't warm, let alone hot. However, it is in an oasis down the canyon which probably makes it difficult to have a full hotel experience. It's enough to stay a night and hike away.
Comfortable rooms with cosy rustic style-decor and mountain views are offered in Cabanaconde. An American breakfast is included and there is an on-site restaurant with a la carte dishes.

Staff extremely helpful and very welcoming. Property is bespoke in style, reflecting the local area - all of this is really well done. Located in Cabanaconde, it is ideally located to see the western (and most spectacular) end of the Colca Canyon.

Amazing hospitality! Rooms are new and clean, the staff is great and they help you with everything during your stay. Delicious breakfast and dinners.
We travelled to Chivay for a tour to Colca Canyon. This hostel is at a quiet location in Chivay, the host was very nice and helpful. Clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower, breakfast with bread and freshly fried eggs. Good price to value ratio!
Beautiful property with hot pools - stunning location and close to the most beautiful places to visit around the Colca Canyon.
Basic but comfortable rooms, good restaurant, overall very happy.
Fantastically helpful staff, good food, a great-size room with a heater. Good massage service available, and the location is brilliant for Colca Canyon.
The day before we stayed we were allowed to leave the luggage for our colca canyon hike. The staff was extremely kind and accomodating. Also we had to leave early, before official breakfast time, and still they served an amazing breakfast.
The hotel itself is a beautiful oasis.
We booked this hotel to fit in with a 2 day tour to Colca Canyon frm Arequipa and on to Puno. The staff were very helpful when we arrived and my wife was ill with stomach trouble and altitude sickness. The bed was very comfortable and she spent a good night recovering. There was hot water in the shower in the morning and they served an adequate breakfast very early.
We had a great stay at Colibri Inn, the bed was massive and very comfy, and they gave us jugs of hot water and tea/coffee to make in the room which was great. The absolute best part though was Lizbeth, who greeted us on reception, went out of her way to help us arrange a private taxi tour to see the condors at Colca Canyon, made us an early breakfast before we left and stored our bags for us while we were gone! She was brilliant and is a credit to the hotel.
The hotel, built in 2019, is a family business driven by the lovely Senior Pedro.
The whole staff is very professional and helpful. You will find someone speaking English in case your Spanish is struggling.
Rooms are clean with new furniture and beds are very comfortable .Some rooms have a balcony to enjoy the mountains.
And you can access the rooftop to get a view on the whole city.
It's definitely the perfect stop for everyone coming from or going to the Colca Canyon.
Very good stay when visiting Colca Canyon, beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. A heater is also provided in the room for cold nights. Breakfast was simple but good for a day of walking and with a nice view on the mountains surrounding Chivay. Definitely worth the money you pay.
