Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Y Fan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Caerphilly, 12 km from Cardiff University. We were visiting Caerphilly for the final stage of the 2023 Tour of Britain Bicycle Race. Y Fan was a great place to stay. It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

Charming cottage within farmhouse is situated in Monmouth, 41 km from Cabot Circus, 41 km from Bristol Zoo Gardens, as well as 42 km from Bristol Temple Meads Station. A beautiful little cottage, with the home comforts. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Cloe to everything, and lovely walks too. Thank you so much!

Set in Gilwern and only 26 km from Longtown Castle, Pantybeiliau House Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Our stay in the Sugar Loaf suite was delightful from start to finish. The approach to this imposing stately home is stunning, as are the gardens and surrounding mountains. Our 3-room suite (bedroom, sitting room, enormous bath) was beautifully decorated, with obvious thought given to guests’ every comfort. If you love antiques, 4-poster beds, floral chintz and a large claw foot soaking tub, this is for you! Views from windows on 3 sides, even from the tub. A balcony from which to enjoy the perfectly manicured gardens. Wonderful breakfasts! (Dinners by special arrangement and highly recommended.). Best of all: the hosts, Harry and Nicola. They will attend to your every wish, and they have wonderful stories to tell of championship equestrian competition and of Nicola’s father, an internationally famous cricketer.

Set just 31 km from Cardiff Castle, The Old Mountain Stables Caerllwyn Ganol Farm provides accommodation in Newport with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as full-day security. Great views and quiet location. Great facilities for long or short stays as you can prepare your own food when you are on a specific lifestyle diet. The converted Stables were bright and airy.

Set in Raglan and only 45 km from Bristol Parkway Station, Art House B & B offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything, especially the magic of art, it was everywhere and place has its own amazing spirit.

Wye View, a property with barbecue facilities, is set in Tintern, 35 km from Cabot Circus, 36 km from Bristol Zoo Gardens, as well as 37 km from Bristol Temple Meads Station. Great place, impeccably clean, all conveniences needed for a getaway available at the place. Good food options at even walking distance. Suzette was very responsive, even to simple, practical questions.

Featuring mountain views, Miners log cabin in Blaina features accommodation and a garden. The rooms have parquet floors and include a seating area with a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen. I loved this cabin. It is decorated so cute - not just the cabin but the outdoors also.

Located 24 km from Bristol Parkway Station, Parkfield (Chepstow BnB) provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Room was very spacious & comfortable & Elizabeth, the landlady, was a very helpful & friendly host. She went out of the way to help us out. We felt like we had made a friend.

Ty Castell Guest House is situated in Caerphilly, 13 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, 13 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, as well as 14 km from Cardiff Castle. Our stay here was a 30 minute alternate to the higher prices in Cardiff. We were a 10 minute walk to the train station. Steve was very accommodating with parking and early check in. We arrived early and took in The Little Cheese Festival in Caerphilly. We enjoyed a great breakfast on the first morning.
