A beautiful option up on the hills and super close to the Horton Plain National Park as well as the Ohiya train station, that took me to Ella afterwards. If you are looking to a cure property in the middle of the forest with a breathtaking view, you should choose Icy Falls. Staff is super friendly and welcoming, I felt so connected to nature while staying there and I would recommend at least two nights stay to have time for the national park hike as well as the cycling track. Highly recommend and I will be back for sure for some more adventure.

Stunning! the food, the view, their hospitality. It’s been the best place in the mountains for us. Lots of people go there to hike in Horton Plains but the host was right: the view from their terrace is even better. Regretting spending only one night on the site, we should have booked at least two:( Peaceful and quiet, but bear in mind that you might need warm clothes. Very good for hikes, and very cozy for doing nothing and enjoying nature.

It is in the midst of a forest. A nice small river flows nearby with clean water. The window has a superb view. An amazing Sri Lankan food is a treat, after we walked a lot in the Horton Plains National Park. It also has a fire place. They have a tuk-tuk and a van for taking to nearby places. Beautiful Ohiya railway station is not far away. This is where the mind-blowing train route along Ella is there. Very friendly staff and nice view from anywhere in the hotel. Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.

A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.
