The room was ready before check-in time so it was great for our one day trip. Very easy for catching the train the next morning as the room was already in one of the station. It is also very convenient for going to Koyasan. The room was super clean and very beautiful and the experience of sleeping in the train station didn’t bother us at all, quite the opposite. I cannot forget to mention the amazing complementary breakfast you get in the closest station and also the free ticket to get there. The person in charge was really helpful during the stay and everything was perfect.

We stayed in Delux Family Room, which is large (50m2) and has a very spacious bathroom. There is a large bed for 2 and third person slept in the separate "room" on tatami rolled out bed. Everything was super nice and clean. We liked the location and ability to participate in meditation/morning service and fire ritual.
There is a very elaborate kaiseki Japanese meal (all vegetarian) served in a private room on tatami.
Monks speak very good english.

The breakfast was amazing, we stayed for 3 nights and every morning it was something different, nutritious and delicious! Staying with Paulo was amazing, she really goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need. The space itself is traditional Japanese and was beautiful to relax in, highly recommend! Koyasan is a very special place, if I was to ever return I would stay again at koyasan space as it fitted the vibe of the whole village.

We loved everything: spacious and beautiful bedrooms, excellent food (worth at least one Michelin star) offered by Chef OHIGASHI in parallel of great wines and sake list, 3 five stars private onsen, excellent personalized service, by Micky? and Matsumoto? the international great classy sommelier with a great sense of humour (sorry if i lost your names, please correct me in answer).
