Very good location to explore west part of Sicily by car - very nice beaches, small towns like Menfi and Sciaccia where to enjoy restaurant food and stress free vacation.

Amazing villa with great spaces, wide garden and colorful interieur. We had the villa for us, nobody else was there. I liked the original living room interieur from the 1930s the most! The old grammophon cabinet i discovered was astonishing! Johnny was super nice and the dog that lived around took care about us ;-) the basics like Olive oil, Salt and Pepper have been provided.

The hosts are wonderful, generous and helpful, the provided everything we needed, even invited us to celebrate with their family. The apartment is well equipped with all you need to live a normal life just like in your house, it has groceries close to the place and the views from the apartment are wonderful.

Stefania was amazing. After meeting me and getting settled, she took me to the grocery market, made recommendations, especially about awesome cheese, helped me check out, and helped get the groceries back to Montalbano House. I speak almost no Italian, so having someone beside me, boosted my confidence greatly. We agreed to meet the next morning to go to the Cemetery and Church as I was researching family members. Using the translator app, we made good progress. She was kind and so helpful with her time and energy!! As there is no public transportation and I do NOT drive, she would have taken me to the Palermo airport over an hour away in each direction. She wasn't available at the time I needed, so she made arrangements with Alan King, an English man, to drive me there. He was wonderful, knowledgeable about the best way to get there, and we comfortably discussed everything from politics to orange orchards.
