We only live just over an hour away from Bala and was attending an an open day on a farm just outside the town, we chose Plas y Dre as we did not want to drive home late and were lucky a room was a available, we had a lovely comfortable clean room with a huge shower in the ensuite comfy bed and it was lovely and warm. Nice choice of breakfast my scrambled eggs on toast was cooked really nice and my husbands full English the same, we had a very pleasant young man serving us he is a credit to the hotel, would be very happy to stay again.

the property is in a little cozy spot right near bala.. the setting is lovely and the property matches this.. its a wonderful place to stay the property was in two sections and both were modern and kept to a high standard with a lovely decking area and seating area between them.. the hosts were very polite and amazing at directing us to the property.. me and my partner had an amazing stay and the beds were perfect i had an amazing nights sleep.. we will definatly return 🙌🏻 if you have not stayed here yet book it now u wont regret it 😃

On the edge of Snowdonia National Park, Palé Hall 5 red star Relais Chateaux property set in a Victorian manor house hotel with 18 elegant rooms in the main building and 4 garden suites.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The facilities were comprehensive, and all rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Ample parking space was immensely helpful for a group of friends meeting up.
The cottage is very clean, comfy & spacious. Plenty of parking for our cars & van. Lots of small touches make it a home from home, eg Prosecco & cake left for us.
The views from upstairs over the river & fields with sheep are lovely when you wake up. We enjoyed good food & drinks at the local village pub, The Eagle, which is 5 mins walk
Lovely cottage. Heating and water is excellent great in the winter. Spacious and clean. The cooker is awesome and want one in my house. Parking is great and only 5 mins from Bala. Colin is a great host very good communication.
We had a very warm welcome from Gareth and Bethan. Our room on the first floor (no lift) was spotlessly clean and supremely comfortable with a lovely view over the countryside. It was next door to the terminus of the Bala Lake Railway but there was very little noise from the trains. There was adequate parking space.
Breakfast was cereals and/or full Welsh, all beautifully cooked and served.
We had a very lovely stay in this charming and large cottage. The surroundings were beautiful, we wish we good stay longer, maybe in the future. A big plus was the separate parkingplace, in front of the house.
Location peaceful with pretty views.....parking very good......helpful staff......placing your breakfast order & preferred time slot the night before .. ....room very comfortable ...nice shower ...Bala Lake steam train next to B&B very interesting ....perfect place for weekend get away.
