The accommodation was beautiful. Immaculately presented, a welcome booklet letting you know the area, shops/takeaways and taxis if needed. The bedrooms were huge, the beds and pillows were super comfortable. There was a lovely shop next door selling fresh cake and eggs and any toiletries you may have forgot. Meg's Rest exceeded all expectations. We arrived slightly later than anticipated on Friday afternoon yet were still greeted by the lovely owner who informed us that the hot tub had already been heated for us to use and that some "welcome gifts" had been left for us to enjoy. The cottage is well equipped with more than enough for 2 people to enjoy, the location was beautiful and the perfect escape from day to day life. The local town Bettws Cedewen is around a 1.5 mile walk where you will find a village shop and pub which serves excellent food and drink. Newtown is around a 15 minute drive away where you can find a Tesco to get everything you need to keep you going. This place is absolutely perfect for a weekend of relaxation and we cannot recommend it enough!
