Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, great facilities, super friendly host that couldn’t do enough for you. The kitchen facilities were enough for our needs; I cooked a full English breakfast in the cottage each morning. The pub directly across was lovely, welcoming, with great food option. I have been in hospitality for 40+ years, so I tend to know a thing or two about the business. My stay was excellent as with all bookings the staff can make or break a visit, and the staff at the Old Swan were great.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Excellent breakfast, ample parking, friendly staff, great location close to Hellifield Station for those who want to experience the Settle to Carlisle Railway.
