And the rooms also very nice and the bed very soft and comfortable to sleep.

In the bars there is local produce and a selection of cask ales. The Feathers Hotel, Helmsley, North Yorkshire Hotel has the largest function venue in Helmsley, with seating for up to 200 people. We had a tiny but cosy room, spotlessly clean. Drinks and food (both dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The location is excellent, right on the market square, and parking overnight on the street nearby was free.

In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. We stayed in the converted barn part of the inn that is around the corner from the pub. It was really nice, high end, and recently renovated. There was a common room to hang out in too. We had great weather and were able to hang out in the garden but I think it would be really nice in the winter too since there is a fireplace. The pub had excellent food and the staff was great. We loved it and hope to go back.

Aldwark Manor is the ideal place to relax after sightseeing in York, Harrogate and the surrounding areas. The place was so clean, the staff were sooo friendly and made us feel welcome with our baby. The grounds are absolutely incredible and a MUST see. Our only regret is not staying longer to explore the grounds more.
