It's an excellent location, for me, by the bridge over looking the river Waveney. There's a small car park to the side so you can park up and collect your keys from the owners, Alison and Graham, who are very helpful and know about all things 'Boaty'. Its also a lovely old building oozing character and the room has an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette area with a fridge stocked with enough food to make breakfast or evening snacks until you have sorted out where the nearest shops and eateries are.
A very personal experience and fantastic hosts., with a welcome tea and cake also! The room was clean and as expected with great facilities. Secure and ample private parking with cover and private garden for use with all guests. Also, the breakfast is fantastic and great value for money, would highly recommend! We would definitely stay again as it suited our needs perfectly and more. Plenty of pubs around for food also.
I knocked on the doors to the side of the building and Alison appeared with the keys. In fact Alison and Graham were very friendly and helpful throughout. Its a lovely quirky building with a spiral staircase up to the room so I did have to duck a few beams but good headroom upstairs. Its also well located in St. Olaves just by the old bridge next to the river with parking and a pub servicing food except Sundays across the road and the priory restaurant a walk away.
Superb stay - wonderful welcome, very homely and comfortable, everything you need for a relaxing stay. Brilliant breakfast selection, private car parking, easy to find, convenient location for visiting Great Yarmouth, plenty of nearby choice for eating in the evening.
Everything about Decoy Barn was first class. The owners were very nice and chatty. The house and garden was really nice
The set up regarding rooms and breakfast area was very good. Secure parking with electric gates
A great property well positioned for visiting local beaches and attractions. Secure ample parking and the property looked accessible for the less able.
We were treated with cold drinks and cake on arrival which was very welcome after our long journey.
A stunning view and lots of attention paid to little details. Just a short walk to local pubs and restaurants.
Our room was very clean. There was Tea/coffee and a bottle of water in the room. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. We had tea coffee and cake on arrival! There was space to park the car. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Good value at £7.I would definitely recommend a stay here.
