The Snug at Greystones, hotel in Buckden

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Snug at Greystones provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

Fab little place to stay with our dog for a few nights in the Dales. Tiny (as described) but everything you needed was there, very well thought out. Lovely little village to walk from and explore, no need to use the car and we made use of the handy pub over the road for one breakfast & meal. Information provided by owners was great, will recommend to family and friends.

Sweetbriar Cottage Bed & Breakfast and Camping, hotel in Buckden

Set in Starbotton and only 48 km from Ripley Castle, Sweetbriar Cottage Bed & Breakfast and Camping offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

I arrived later than expected but the hosts couldn't have been nicer and even provided me with an evening meal after the local pub stopped serving. The cottage had everything I needed - natural setting, not too warm and not too cold; great breakfast conveniently made earlier than expected, good shower, spacious room. I would highly recommend this place to stay for a few days or more !

Sweet spotless cottage annex. Lovely hostess Vicki. The location was perfect; across from the National Park parking lot with immediate access to multiple hikes in the DALES. Comfortable bed and kitchenette for morning breakfast . Bring groceries as there is no immediately local opportunity.

Warm welcome, good food, nice log fires, quiet location, plenty of parking. When we arrived the host said that they had a heating issue, so we were given a fan heater to put in our room, which was very necessary. We booked for two nights, but were unable to return to The Buck for the second night due to roads being closed due to flooding. The staff were very helpful and are sending our bag on to us by courier.

Great location, pretty much in the centre of the Dales national park. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas and nice hot shower. Parking directly outside the cottage. The local pub, just across the road does good food and is very friendly. There is a bus to Skipton for the incredibly low fare of £4 return.

Great location just south of Wensleydale. Lots to see locally. Great walking and cycling. The Buck Inn was large, spacious and plenty of parking space. The manager John was friendly and accommodating and the staff were lovely to talk to and friendly and helpful. The room looked recently refurbished and clean and tidy. The pub did excellent food and a good selection of local ale. I would certainly visit again.

I stayed for one night as a solo traveller on a Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Inn. My room was very clean with an en-suite shower. Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff and the food was great for both dinner and breakfast. Lovely relaxed but busy atmosphere and a good selection of beers. Beautiful location and ample parking.
