Great communication before arrival with Jo the host who along with her husband Bernie made us so welcome. The accommodation is perfect, clean, spacious and everything we needed for our short break. A lovely welcome hamper was left in our room with delicious bacon, eggs, bread, yogurts, croissants, milk, cereals, tea and coffee. The bed was so comfy so a good night sleep wasn't a problem. Askrigg is a beautiful little village with 3 pubs who all serve lovely food. There is also a small local shop and a cafe/deli. Perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. We highly recommend the property and the location.

This is our 12th(!) stay at the Wheatsheaf - we absolutely love it. A great location in a beautiful little village, and a good base for exploring further afield - plus lots of scenic walks. The rooms at the Inn are clean and very comfortable, the breakfasts are excellent and will set you up for the day, and I would recommend trying the meals as they are just so tasty! The steak pie is a favourite, and the fish and chips are just delicious - but do book as it can get very busy.
We've stayed at many hotels and Inns in the UK - some hugely expensive ones too, but for us, the Wheatsheaf is up there among the very best, which is why we keep returning!

Great location. Good atmosphere in pub and some live music in the back hall which has been recently renovated. Staff helpful and friendly.

This was a lovely accommodation, with really good facilities. The toiletries were high quality, as were the kitchen appliances. The apartment was very clean and the bed comfortable. The views from the window were beautiful. We didn’t have any problems finding a parking space close to the house.
It is a lovely base from which to walk the local area, and visit local landmarks.

Lovely spacious apartment, immaculate and sylishly furnished, kitchen had everything you need. Askrigg is a beautiful village, plenty of good quality pubs, parking was a bonus. Will definitely be back.
Excellent location right in the middle of the pretty village. A lovely view from the top floor bedroom window. Kitchen had a toaster and a fancy microwave oven / normal oven which I managed to work out. Bed was comfortable. WE managed to find on street parking very close.
