Amazing location in the most stunning village in the Lake District. A very easy check in and out process, fantastic communication from staff, all the essentials provided. A very comfortable apartment and so good to have a full sized fridge in the kitchen! The apartment comes with a parking pass too, which made the stay much easier and more affordable. So many incredible choices for food and shopping within the town too. An excellent selection of chain retailers and local stores.

The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. There were all the makings for tea, including milk and cookies waiting for us. We got to choose our breakfast for the next morning from a wide variety of generous offerings. Our view was of a green hillside with sheep on it. Best of all, our hosts (Tina and Steve) were incredibly warm, helpful and accommodating. They answered our many questions, prepared and served an amazing breakfast, watched our luggage after check in, etc. Really, they take genuine hospitality to a new level. (And their dog Charlie is very friendly also…but his attention wavered somewhat by the treats being offered 😉). I hope to revisit this lovely family at some point in the future.
