The property had free car parking. Although it was a little way out of Saint Emilion that suited us. By car it is a 7 minute car ride. Having parking was fantastic. It was nice to be in the middle of vineyards and quiet.

Everything was really lovely. We felt at home in this beautiful place. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We are so close to St. Emilion, we could walk everywhere, to the wine shops and restaurants. Eric, our host, very kindly, took the time to tell us the history of the building and give us pointers on the area. We even had a tour of the cave under the building. How interesting!

This accommodation was situated in an old vineyard house several miles out of Libourne and 2or 3 miles into St Emilion. The hosts, Veronique & Tony, were as hospitable, welcoming and charming as one could ever hope for . They took us on a little tour of their own wine making barn, explaining procedures & offering samples . They have a vast cellar from which we chose one bottle from a 'good' year. Their vineyard is just 1 hectare. We were given a large bedroom with 1 double bed & 1 single bed , an 'en suite' with a beautiful shower. A continental breakfast ( home made jams & figs fresh from the garden) was served by our hosts onto a large dining table in the next room, where the log burner glowed in the corner .This was one of our favourite haunts of the whole trip. St Emillion town was quaint and most interesting with a subterranean Gothic church & wine cellars round every corner.
