The hosts have done such a great job with the place it felt like a home away from home. Loved every bit of it from start to end, wish we were there for longer!
Balloch
The lodge provides guests with a terrace, city views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, and a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. A minibar, a stovetop and toaster are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. The pod was absolutely gorgeous - so thoughtfully put together to get the most out of the space and had so much fitted in there. A small but rare thing for these types of places was that the plates, bowls, mugs etc were actually nice and not just bought as cheap as possible. The tv has Netflix and there is also a Dyson hairdryer, and beers and milk were left in the fridge for us. The sauna was AMAZING and ice water and fruit was left outside it for us which was so thoughtful. We also went on a gorgeous walk with amazing views of the Loch just 15-20 minutes from the pods. Brian and Gillian were so kind and welcoming, it was a pleasure to stay there. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Excellent accommodation. We were in the yurt, it was amazing, loved the hot tub! The accommodation was clean and very well equipped. Having milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. The games room was amazing and we had great fun playing basketball and pool in the evening. I would highly recommend this site.

It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. I didn't normally like hot tubs but this one is basically a big outdoor bath that you refill each time, so it was very clean. There are only 4 lodges and they are well spaced out so you didn't feel overlooked. There were a couple of board games there. The WiFi was excellent and we were able to stream films at night.
Love the lodges just so cosy and comfortable. Palominos restaurant is excellent and always plenty of food with delicious cocktails. Staff were amazing singing happy birthday to my daughter with sparkler ice cream.
We've been coming to duchally for 15 years now, with family & on our own, we love the lodges & having the option to have a meal & drink at hotel is really nice, the leisure centre is great for the grandkids & cafe there good too. There was snow when we arrived this time.
Property hidden in amongst the beautiful wooden surroundings. Lodges spaced out for privacy. Very clean and modern with all the essentials plus extras you’d need for a break away. Hot tub was a great plus used multiple times during our 2nt stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Its isolated location and tough elements makes it tough business to run. Staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel is more like a ski lodge, basic.
Nice location and ok for a hostel. ( don't be fooled by the name, it's not a fancy ski lodge) All details sent by email, and everything was good
Really enjoyed our stay at The Snug at the Ski Lodge! Very comfortable with high quality fittings and furniture. Having the mini fridge was really handy. Tea, coffee and a light breakfast were great touches that made our stay. Aviemore was really busy but The Snug provided a comfortable retreat in a quiet area with shops and food near by. I'd have no hesitation in booking again!
Quaint little hut in such a beautiful part of the highlands. We opted for the ski lodge for the evening and relaxed by the open fire. Superb little place.
There is a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel.All members of staff contributed to the success of our stay. The food was very good and a good variety. The scenery is magnificent. It reminded me of staying at an Austrian ski lodge, without the snow!
