Modern comfy and cosy with all the essentials. Definitely felt like a home away from home and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The host was quickly contactable which was helpful as booking.com sent us the wrong key code for the lock box which was reassuring for the rest of our stay. Amenities nearby and the surroundings were beautiful….we dipped in with some sun and the view from the lodge was peaceful and very much needed.

A great chalet for couples! Very clean and had everything you needed for the duration of your stay, and with some really nice touches to make it homely. The Hawthorn Lodge was beautifully situated on the river, only a 5-minute walk from Pucks Glen, which was an excellent walk taking in nature and the gorge, and not far from Benmore botanical garden. It was reassuring that our hosts were only a message away if we had any queries, and they promptly responded. Would definitely recommend and return there!

Gorgeous lodge, very clean and the area is lovely. Loved that it was dog friendly. We often stay in Dunoon to visit our family there and it was probably the nicest of places we have stayed at so far. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was pleasant, though the shower itself doesn’t have the best pressure.

The lodge was in a nicely secluded location but easy to access, and connect to local services and points of interests. Stephen and Liz were equally brilliant in effectively communicating and providing recommendations for the area. They also had great foresight to get the lodge to a nice temperature for the time of year!

The lodge was spotless, beds were very comfortable, beautiful views and very peaceful. Dougie went above and beyond for our stay. Clearly a lot of time and effort has went into this property. Had everything we needed for our stay.
