Absolutely loved it here, it was fairly empty when I went and had the dorm to myself, it was a beautiful wooded cabin with lots of space the room was extremely comfortable, the pillow was my favourite, super comfortable unlike any other in Ecuador, haven't slept that well! All the staff and owners were extremely friendly. The common space was very nice and cozy.

Hidden in the Amazonian Rainforest, Banana Lodge is a family-run B&B situated directly on the tropical Misahualli Riverside, a 10-minute walk from the town centre. It offers activity packed jungle tours and clean rooms with plenty of natural light. Nice lodge about ten minutes stroll down a well lit road from the town square. Off street parking and much needed air con was appreciated. The property is on a river, and has a terrace where you can sit and enjoy the views. Our room was comfortable and spacious and fairly quiet - we were at the front of the building so inevitably there was some road noise, but nothing too bad. The rooms overlooking the river are away from the road. There is a communal kitchen if you want to cook (or make coffee). The owner organised a river trip for us with a very good guide, which was a big help.

This hotel is beautiful, designed with guest comfort in mind. The staff are exceptional, they have a person assigned to you to manage your stay and attend to your need. They have a guide to take you to the jungle. They offer all meals, and cuisine is as traditional, as it modern, and of great value. It's a small hotel, so you get personalized treatment, and the owners are very involved. We only stayed for two nights, but it was extremely relaxing and satisfying.

Benjamin and the staff were very hospitable and helped out with everything we needed, local information, organising trips etc everything was taken care of.

Breakfasts were incredible, fresh fruits, juices, delicious eggs, rolls and cheese-a feast! The rescue birds were very well cared for and entertaining. The grounds are a wonderland-we had a fabulous and educational tour. And we were able to feed the monkeys! Oro y Luna is away from town but close enough to easily get to town.
