The location, the equipment, the care given to set practical things and to make the trails/sanderos very clear and easy. I definitely recommand it to people wanting to be inspired by nature.
Tres Equis
With mountain views, Pacuare Mountain Lodge is situated in Tres Equis and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Stunning location with unbelievable view, very tranquil and peaceful, very friendly owners, great breakfast! Need at least an SUV to get to it as around 3km up an unmade rocky road, but well worth the slow drive, as the views are amazing! Quite good wifi as well! Would happily stay there again!
La Suiza
Offering free WiFi and an outdoor pool, Corredores del Pacuare is situated on Pacayitas, from La Suiza district (Taxi station) 11km North, at this point you will find the San Vicente intersection from this point you must go 1 Km East. Very good experience. The hotel is somewhat remote (9km drive on unpaved road). Gilberth (the owner) is a very nice person. He really helped me when I got stuck driving a small FWD car, and prepared a very good breakfast. Highly recommended place to stay, but I would recommend driving a 4x4 in that area.

We would have booked more nights.

We arrived at dusk and it rained all night. Staying here offers an amazing opportunity to be completely off grid, in a cabin, in the jungle. Walter was a great host. Remember this is Costa Rica, don’t expect hot water!
or in this case electricity in the cabin. Walter gave us lanterns and we had a mindful quite night away from everything.

This was the perfect getaway! Orosi is stunning, and this mountain lodge had the best view of the town and the mountains. The space was super clean, and our host made us feel welcome! We live just an hour outside of Orosi and will be coming back to stay in this mountain lodge in the future. We loved it.
Location was perfect. Very scenic and the lodge grounds were beautiful and well maintained.
Quiet, beautiful, secluded jungle lodge. Lot's of bird and butterfly species... Luis serves a delicious breakfast and the Kitchen is ready for whatever yo want to cook. Out door fire pit can help one keep warm on cool evenings.
We delighted in our time at Paraiso Quetzal Lodge - the view, hummingbird garden, wood-burning fireplace, and peaceful grounds all surpassed our expectations. And all for such an affordable price! We will be returning to the Lodge next time we are back in Costa Rica!
Nice restaurant, beautiful garden with hummingbirds amongst many other beautiful birds. Beautiful surroundings. Lodge had nice heaters and a lot of blankets to bury yourself in, it can get quite cold in this area of Costa Rica. With a Little help we were able to capture the Quetzal on camera
Marc was so friendly, nice and helpful. He has also organized the rafting trip for us which was amazing and even drove us down to the pick-up place. We also had dinner at the lodge which was very good and the nature around is just incredible. We really enjoyed our stay!
Great parking and lots of space. Obviously a granny flat with her belongings still being used. Mother and son did try to make it amenable but less is more. Functioning hot shower and toilet would be great. Also bathroom sink that could not dislodge from wall
This accommodation has excellent views from the rooms, when the clouds lift. We stayed in one of the new lodges which had recently been constructed. The Hummingbird garden is an excellent addition to the reception/restaurant area.
Sweet hostess, Lucretia, great person in Bredrich. Great location for Quetzales. they come right to the property everyday right in front of me balcony. Hot showers and breakfast included. Better than lodges in San Gerardo de Dota which are beautiful but remote with our a car.
We ate in the restaurant both evenings and for breakfast and the food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodges were clean and comfortable, with plenty of blankets and heating. And if course the views were wonderful.
