Staff friendly and attentive, Melissa who was our ranger/guide was superb!!
I could say a lot more superlatives, but the guests comments in the 2 photos attached from just this one week say it much more than I can

Great game reserve. Excellent game drives. Good food and friendly staff. Saw all of the big 5 and much more. Would certainly recommend
A 9-km boat ride along the Kariega River provides the only access to malaria-free Sibuya Game Reserve, set in the forest. It offers Big Five game drives, river cruises and tented accommodation.

Sibuya is a very special place on earth!!
Even the journey by boat is an experience. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the whole team, who are incredibly great. Julie is incredibly lovely and humorous. We were spoiled the whole day, we laughed and sang a lot. The food is delicious and even a bed bottle is provided for the night.
The tents are great and a special experience, the beds are super comfortable.
We couldn't have imagined a better game driver for the safari than CJ. She is such a lovely person and her love for nature and the animals is palpable - she loves her work! she was able to show us and teach us a lot, has patience and a great sense of humor. It was not easy for us to say goodbye. We had a great time at Sibuya Game Reserve and can recommend it 1000% and would book there again!
Featuring air conditioning, Kariega Game Reserve Settlers Drift offers luxury accommodation in Alexandria. Port Alfred is 36 km from the property.

The room and lodge are exactly as you’d expect from information online. Very luxurious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the game drives and the little touches like “bush babies” (hot water bottles), blankets and snacks. We especially loved the romantic dinner set up for us on two of the nights. The staff are so, so nice and happy to assist. It is paradise in the wild. I would recommend doing your safari here and then picking a luxury hotel to relax in afterward, that’s not necessarily a safari resort. You will be tired after all the game drives!
The 3-star Mansfield Private Reserve is located in Port Alfred, a little drive out of town. Plains game, including giraffe and zebra, roam the Eastern Cape bushveld.

The view from the apartment and the access to seeing the animals. Also very private.

Bathroom floor dangerous as it was very slippery
Cottages need to be seperated. Each with own entrance and stoep. Lucky for as the Cottage next door was empty. If there were other guest next door, i would have left. Direct path way / acces to river for fising should be available. You dont want to leave once you arrive looking for places for relaxation or for any other unnecessary trips. There also was some one with a drone invading your privacy.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We stayed in River Camp in the most beautiful tents. We adored our time there, the boat journey up the river is a wonderful start. Our game drives were fantastic and Nicolas' passion for his job and his enjoyment of working in nature was wonderful. It was the highlight of our children's holiday and they are still wearing their Sibuya hats! I'd highly recommend it for a family safari experience.
Loved most of the things about this place. nice place to unwind and appreciate the nature around you; beautiful bushlodge rooms with amazing views, the staff were very friendly, especially our guide, who went all out to make sure we saw all 4 of the BIG FIVE and loads of other animals. I also felt unwell and they provided a paracetamol for me which was a nice touch, The chef was very good with the variety of dishes provided throwing in South African classics like pap too.
I cannot praise the wonderful team of staff at Kareiga highly enough. Our safari guide Amber was absolutely wonderful, her attitude, enthusiasm and knowledge helped make our safari experience perfect. We saw far more animals than we ever expected, including the big 5, all healthy and roaming free in their natural habitat. The property, food and facilities are not luxury 5* but we did not go for this. We went for a safari and this 3-day experience exceeded expectations.
Lodge is excellently located on the river edge. The animal viewing was second to none. The ranger guide was extremely knowledgeable and obviously loving his job which was infectious.
Thank you for a most memorable stay, the unit was comfortable with beautiful views & close to amenities.
We had a great break & will definitely visit the lodge again, thanks so much to the hosts & Alan.
Fantastic game drives with plenty of opportunity to see the animals very close. Brilliant guide in Melissa. Large, spacious lodges overlooking the bush. Food was of exceptional quality.
We were on our honeymoon and staying at the lodge has been the absolute spotlight of our vacation, we can’t recommend Kariega more. From seeing the animals in their natural habitat, to the most beautiful sunsets, to relaxing pool sessions in between! Special thanks to the ranger Ben who was so knowledgable about the park and the wildlife.
food was excellent.safaris were excellent.no Wi-Fi in lodges which is a bit poor.lodge was too far to walk in heat.lodges were dated but satisfactory.bed very comfy.
