I had a great time at Karisimbi Hotel. I spent six days there, and the cost-benefit is excellent. Mike, Kevin, and the other staff members are really great. I strongly recommend going on a city tour and safari with them. I'm excited to visit them again.
The warm welcome, I got a complimentary drink as I got in, the view of Kigali from this lodge is absolutely breathtaking and I loved it a lot. I liked that the room was quite cozy and intimate as well. The ambience was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helped with getting a cab, other things I needed.
I really had a peaceful stay at Wailers lodge. The warm reception meted out to me by Grace (one of the staff) was exceptional.
The facility also met my expectations save that there was no fridge in my room.
I did not take breakfast since I was fasting though I was warmly invited by Grace.
In all it was a great experience. The location too is ok.
Very pretty lodge, with wonderful staff. Food was some of the best we had in Rwanda. Very laid back team offering flexibility to accommodate your needs.
They accommodated an extra person and added a queen size bed to the room which was very helpful! Not many lodges or hotels would ever do this especially as was not an extra cost.
The property has 2 dogs and a cat - which was a plus for us :)
