Looking for a lodge?

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

The rooms were nice and super comforable, got everything I needed, but it is an expensive hotel i got on a deal, so I felt lucky but they should do what travel lodge do, have mini coffee machines in the room instead of cheap coffee sachets.

Shower didn’t drain and overflowed, room had damp on walls . Window had a board over it. Some electrics had wires showing . Premier inn or travel lodge are so much better kept. Property is a big prominent building but need lots of money spending to make it worth the price they expect

The property was comfortable. Good quality linens in the bed and bathrooms and a nice kitchen. Otterburn estate has some pretty walks from the door and decent facilities nearby - as well as being in striking distance from other amazing locations e.g. Kielder. The grounds around the immediate vicinity of the lodges are well maintained by friendly staff. The hot tub was very clean. The option to eat/take away from the coach house is a bonus. All in all it was pleasant enough - definitely not at the high end of this kind of stay but OK.
