As soon as you drive into the De Opstal property you sense this is a different kind of place. The owners don’t just DO hospitality as a means to an end; they ARE hospitality embodied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely, homely facility on an ostrich farm. Breakfast and supper were wholesome and tasty. Good choices of food. The facility is relatively close to Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch. Beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay.
What a lovely place! So spacious and with every convenience thought of. We were welcomed with fresh flowers beautifully arranged, a loaf of farm bread and a bottle of wine. Such incredible hospitality. The cottage also has lovely hot showers which we needed on the freezing winter evenings! We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset walk up the koppie above the cottage, as well as our trips to the nearby Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch, Wilgewandel farm and Karusa wines.
