Great location/ staff/ amenities, and clean :))
I would avoid parts of Washington Avenue at night. It's certainly not unsafe but a bit seedy with questionable characters. Stick to Collins, Ocean Drive, 5th Street area, and Lincoln Road area.
We spent lots of time on Lincoln Road which has lots of brand named and smaller independent stores. Aventura Mall is a great all round clothing and tech shopping mall too.
