Room is surprisingly spacious, the quality of the furniture was very good and it was cleaned every single day to keep the perfectly clean condition. We had access to the gym also which was great. Staff was happy to help us with every request. And on top - the location is perfect - very central, and close to numerous metro lines.

Take in a different kind of sight with a stroll, bike ride, rollerblade, or even a carriage ride around Central Park! Spanning 843 acres, the park slices through the landscape from North 110th to 59th Street and diagonally from 8th to 5th Avenue. A sacred recreational space to New Yorkers, you’ll see everything from locals playing baseball or practicing yoga to outdoor performances, family picnics, and couples saying “I do!”

I thought a midnight stroll through Central Park would be peaceful… maybe even magical. I was so wrong. The park was dark, empty, and straight-up creepy. I tried to convince myself it was fine — until I saw a rat. Not just any rat. This thing was the size of a cat, casually scurrying like it owned the place. I froze. Then I saw another. And another. At that point, I sat down on a bench to gather my courage… but every sound made me jump. It felt like I was in a horror movie. I was convinced I’d either get mugged or dragged off by a mutant rat army. I booked it out of there so fast, I didn’t even look back. Central Park might be lovely during the day, but at midnight? It's a no from me.

Loved our horse and carriage ride through Central Park.
Loved our horse and carriage ride through Central Park. This was a fabulous way to see a lot of the areas in as short a time as possible. Some beautiful fountains and architecture throughout this park and we loved our time there.

Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all.
Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all. We started our day with a horse carriage ride throught the park to get our bearings. Ate Lunch at Tavern on the Green--must call and make reservations! You can also go to their website to purchace gift card! Rode the old carasol, went to the Central Park Zoo, Strawberry fields, the Home Alone Tunnel, ventured over to see the Plaza Hotel and the famous toy store, walked to the Natural History Museum. You can also walk to the Mtropolitan Museum of Art! Would have loved to have more time to rent a bike--would have been fun. It's huge and would take a day to truely enjoy--lots of walking.

Central Park is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York city. Located smack in the middle of the city you can explore and enjoy so many outdoor activities like the Zoo, ice skating, Belvedere Castle, Playgrounds for children, running, reading and even people watching is a thing.

Book the horse and cart ride with the group that have a team waiting on a line to the left as you base the park, they will take 5 people and it’s cheaper. They people that bombard you say 4 max so if there are 5 you have to get w carts… this is not the case. Was nice to be shown a route round, be informed of the local landmark and then walk round a different route to see them again on our ouwn time. It’s worth going to the visitor centre for a map.

I liked the pod, I had a two pod room and felt as if I was in my own private room! Couldn’t hear the other person and it was nice and quiet. I enjoyed the pod as well it was very spacious.
The location is right next to the subway as well so it’s easy to get to and from. And it’s next to Central Park which is great.
I managed to get a good offer for three nights considering I booked last minute. It is a little pricey for a hostel but it is New York City so that’s expected.

The room was great, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a great area, near a subway station and Central Park. The staff is kind and really helpful!
First things first. The showers are amazing at this hotel. The water pressure is the best. It's like you're in a car wash, lol. 2nd time here, same experience.
Also, the rooms are spacious, typically a suite with a separate seating area.
Beds are comfortable. Staff are pleasant.
Location is superb. Just steps from Central Park, Broadway, Times Square and 5th Avenue

An exceptional location! Walking out of the hotel facing the Central Park is an unmatched feeling that never gets old!
The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating! I asked for a nice view and floor and they generously offered a park view on 46th floor.

The apartment is in an unbeatable location right next to Central Park, which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. The hosts were super responsive and genuinely kind, always quick to help with anything we needed. The apartment itself was beautiful, well-kept, and had everything we could ask for – perfect for anyone visiting New York. Would definitely stay here again!

This was my second time staying at HI New York Hostel in two years, and once again, it exceeded expectations. The location is fantastic, right near Central Park and well connected by subway (103 th st station) .The facilities are excellent — clean rooms, spacious common areas, and a fully equipped kitchen. The staff are helpful, and the hostel has a great social vibe with activities for guests. Whether you're a solo traveler or in a group, it's one of the best budget stays in NYC. I’ll definitely come back again!

The hotel is in a prime location, effectively close to Times Square, Central Park and the theater district. Subway is very close, plenty of food around and entertainment locations. The staff is great and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy to reach from the airport and train station. They have space to store luggages in case of early check-in/out.
