Beautiful location with views of the sea from bar, restaurant and our room. The sea was really rough and it was great watching the waves. We had a rain forest room which was spacious with kitchenette and it was great to see a cafeteria and fresh coffee. We had everything we needed. Would come back.😀

Blow holes are best visited at high tide - that's when they splash the water the most. But the pancake rocks are great anytime.
Truman track is best visited at low tide so you can climb across the rocks to some secluded bays (further along the beach from the waterfall). Also check out punakaiki cavern if you have time, it's walking distance up the road from pancake rocks.
