The original Popeye movie with Robin Williams was filmed here. It‘s like a themepark with chances to swim or to go on a short boat trip. Keep in mind, that the way to get from the ticket booth down to the village is very steep in certain areas. We were traveling with our baby and the stroller. It‘s possible, but very tough if it‘s 35 degree’s Celsius outside.
There are the main movie characters walking around the village giving a cool show like we know from the movies.

Atrocious- we went on the 8th May paid full price to get in with children . The pool was not open and no signs or verbal communication at the time of paying that the pool was closed . Stayed 30 mins. Have complained and to date nil response

The hosts were very friendly. They were there to receive us when we arrived. There was even a fruit basket and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The apartment is right in front of the sea, and walking distance from Meliha beach. Bus stop and convenient store was also close by.
Cirkewwa ferry terminal to get the ferries to Comino or Gozo islands was not far away. Also the Popeye village, and Golden Bay were easily reachable from there.
During our stay, there was a small issue with the tap, but it was promptly changed.
Great spaciousness place , very comfy with all you need . Believe me or not but it was walking distance to Popeye village and Golden Bay ( if you like long hiking ). I call this apartment a View Therapy place . Morning wake ups with this view were just amazing.

It's a short walk to the small village, and a short drive to the red tower and the Popeye Village.
The breakfast is very good and there is much choice.
Very good location when you want to visit Gozo and Comino islands.. Ferry just a couple minutes by foot. Also just an hour by foot to Popeye village.
Good dinner with good wine, everyday different.
The apartment is next to the sea. Just across the street. Excellent position for bus stops, supermarket, and sand beaches. It is close to restaurants and the water is perfect. Very close to Popeye Village - a must go!
The beds are very comfortable, the size of the room is quite good, the food is quite ok however at the breakfast there could be different type of eggs offered. The spa area is quite good but small. Cave bar next to the pool is nice to have with very reasonable prices. Overall the hotel is very clean. The staff is helpful. We recommend to have a car if you come to this hotel and visit Paradise beach/Popeye village for relaxation.
The hotel has everything you need for your stay. It has lots of restaurants nearby, taxis, bus stops, tourist information stops etc. It is 7 minutes from Popeye Village and about 30 mins in taxi to St Julians which is where the nightlife is. Public transport and taxis are very cheap, however, i recommend downloading “Bolt” which is their Uber service. It has set rates and its cheaper than the taxis. Local supermarket nearby as well. Staff very friendly and helpful! rooms very clean.
The rooptop pool is bigger then we expected so it was a good surprise! The room was big and very confortable with a great sea view and a big balcony! The breakfast was so good with a lot of diversity and a big room with enough space for every one since the hotel was so many people! In front of the hotel you have a bus stop that takes you to the beachs, to Popeye Village and to Gozo ferry stations.
Good location. Near a good Wellbee supermarket, lots of small local markets, lots of diners (try the shish-kebab in Kebab factory). Huge balcony, free parking right below window. Spacious apartment, comfy beds. Has all the aplliances you can think of - toaster, coffee maker, oven, washing machine etc. Near is a beach with a sea food restaurant. Popeye village and hiking spots just 5 min by car. Good host, excellent communication.
The grounds are well maintained and the bungalow was exceptionally clean, if showing wear and tear. There is a really nice common area including restaurants, supermarket and an outdoor pool area with chillout space; kids' playground is decent. Popeye Village within walking distance (with kids).
