I highly recommend this accommodation. Everything was top-notch. The owner was extremely friendly. The room had everything you needed: a kettle, fridge, coffee, tea, toiletries. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The owner also offered free rides to the city by tuk-tuk. Easy communication at any time. You could walk down to the bridge from the cottage. I will definitely return to this place.

Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast served is amazing. Great location in a more quiet part of the city centre, a bit away from the busy main road. The hosts are super friendly and helpful in organising everything you need during your stay. They offer laundry service which is very handy. There are lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The guy at the hotel was very nice and helpful, and he packed us breakfast for an early departure, which was very kind of him. The room was big and had a really nice view. You can hear noise coming from the street, but nothing too loud.

Such great hosts and their authentic meals were the best we had during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka and we went to 5 cities! They also have a hand written map which is helpful for hiking as google maps doesn’t know some of the secret trails used by locals.

It’s an easy hike.
It’s an easy hike. Starts of with a shallow incline that should last 25 mins. Signs are clear. No guide needed. The next 20mins are stairs that start to the left of the rock climbing area and the zip line station and go all the way to the view point and are at appreciable incline suitable for older people too with above average to good fitness levels. At the top ,3 peaks are accessible by a walk if you feel like it. Good views! Worth the hike. And it’s free. Carry cash if you want buy cold water or coconut water on the way. Coconut water cost us ₹150 and the people selling these are super friendly and up for a chat.

Wear sensible shoes and clothes! Saw so many instagrammers going up in revealing (disrespectful) outfits and sandals. While a lot of it is steps some is rough uneven wet rock and mud. And at the top there are some very steep parts to get to other viewpoints.

View of Ella Rock and little Adam’s peak spectacular. Took us about 45 mins to get to Adam view point from hotel and about 20 mins to the bridge. Staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was good and Ella less than 5 min walk away. Rooms clean and comfortable with really effective air conditioning
Amazing views! Lots of spaces to hang out and enjoy the view, including a nice pool and seating and a hammock outside our bedroom. Great service with helpful staff. The food was good and excellent buffet breakfast included. Quick laundry service. Massage services available onsite or just down the road. Short walk into town. Not far from little Adam’s peak. Staff suggested we take the short cut to nine arch bridge then walk along the tracks back to the hotel. Loved it!!
For the price we paid, this hotel was incredible value! The view was AMAZING, and I would say it was the perfect location in that it was far enough away from Ella town to be peaceful, but close enough that we could walk into town very easily. We hiked Ella Rock and walked to nine arche bridge and Little Adam’s Peak from here, without needing to pay for tuktuk journeys at all! The guy running the show (who I don’t believe is the owner) was so so nice and really helpful.
Kasun & Dile were fabulous hosts. They live on the property with their 2 children.
We enjoyed the breakfasts and the room was comfortable. Bed is firm. Close to the Main Street which we visited on foot a few times ( tuk tuk back because of steep incline) We walked to Little Adam’s Peak and then to Nine Arch Bridge. There is a zip line at Little Adam’s Peak which the younger tourists were enjoying.
Dile gave us a Sri Lankan curry cooking lesson which we really enjoyed. You must try it if you like to cook 😄
The view from the bedroom is unmatchable! The family that leads the hotel is really nice and attentive. I could write them anytime and they’d answer in a minute.
Also the the little Adam‘s Peak is reachable via a 20 min walk so you can enjoy the sunrise from there easily.
I think it would be a good pick for a nature loving backpacker.
The hotel is really well located, just out of town and with a beautiful view of the valley and Ravana Falls. Our room was spacious and clean, although a little basic. Breakfast was great! The staff were super friendly and even provided a tuk tuk to Little Adam’s Peak for our sunrise hike. We had a great stay.
The hotel has a amazing view of little Adam’s peak and Ella rock. The host is truly amazing and super friendly. Over all just a really smooth experience to stay at this hotel
The room was a great size, and had a particularly comfortable sofa, which is a rarity, but so appreciated in a hotel room- good to have a comfortable place to sit.
The view is good - of Ella Rock, but with a little extra tree pruning, it could be a phenomenal view through Ella gap and including little Adam’s peak
